So. Dragon Age RP Masterlist.

I don’t think any of the blogs calling for reblogs on a post ever actually got around to making a DA masterlist {do correct me if I’m wrong}, but I think it’d be helpful to throw one up so we can keep track of who is in our community!

That being the case, I’m going to start working on this. Our very own DARP masterlist! C: All you have to do is reblog this {if you RP a Dragon Age character – OCs more than welcome!} and I’ll get around to adding your blog to the list. If blogs are inactive / go inactive {don’t post anything for around two months without notice} they will be removed from the masterlist… but they’re always welcome to be re-added!

i remember reading on this topic a while ago buT BASICALLY the military-esque style was deliberate and sends the right message, going along with the idea of it being a uniform, being a strong military organisation etc. as for the colours, you can bet your ass no one else turned up the winter palace in bright red. it stands out. you can bet if they turned up in like, cobalt blue, it would not have had the same effect as bright red. 

also tbh britain had bright red ass uniforms like that for the longest time (until the second boer war/before the first world war) because red just made them stick the fuck out on the battlefield & war was changing (i.e. everyone wearing camo nowadays). but it’s the same thing; it has the same sort of effects. i think the uniform in DA just looked awful in the context, when everyone else is in those fancy gowns and the setting. i think outside of that setting, i don’t think as many people would say it’s ugly lmao

((Nah man, I understand all of that, esp the real life equivalents bc that’s my jam*, but I still think they’re just... not great. =n= The blue ones you can wear in Skyhold are more aesthetically pleasing, imo, but I understand the statement of the red. Bonus points, because it’s the opposing color of the friggin’ hole in the sky, but even so... they all looked like they were cosplaying as Cinderella’s Prince.))
