first of all, thank you for all the both concerned and encouraging asks – we read them all and they’re very sweet.

secondly, don’t worry, we really don’t need concern! real world issues =/= real world problems, it’s just that sometimes real life calls for hard work we’d rather not have to put into it.

it’s hard work that it means it wouldn’t be fair for us to admin right now because we’d take too long to look at apps, we wouldn’t be available as much as we’d like, etc. having said that, we absolutely intend to open when we have that free time available again – right now, we’re looking at sometime in july, as early as it can be.

we are so sorry for the delay but it’s only fair so that this site is the best it can be. early reserves will still stand!

i'm so intrigued! <3 like this will be such a struggle for wizarding kind. they can't drive. they don't understand electronics at all. compared to a muggle they are quite stupid (they don't know maths, physics etc) they don't have education, they aren't very knowledgeable when it comes to the muggle world. they don't understand dentistry or doctors. they have not been to muggle school. they have to do !everything! manually: cook, wash, clean, fold clothes, etc. this is going to be so much fun!!!

ok so I def want to post some dev for (potential) Remus - but I got to thinking about magical creatures in this verse- do they still exist? does Remus still transform? is Hagrid normal sized? do centaurs become human or do they cease to exist? what about metamorphmagi and veela/part veela folk? basically what's the rundown on creatures?

great question! as a general rule, creatures are still creatures, since that’s their species now – werewolves, centaurs, veela, half-giants, etc. are all creatures just as they wee before, and we’ll be writing up some info on how muggles are handling this (spoiler: they want them to put on display, like actual animals).

however, magic that involves a deliberate use (such as metamorphmagi and animagi) have lost the ability. your character may only have been an animagi if they were in canon (the marauders, minerva, rita skeeter) – and it hardly matters since they can’t change now. metamorphmagi are stuck looking as they did when magic died. 

so yeah, remus still transforms, he just can’t take wolfsbane to make it a little easier!

are squibs options for some of the names on the canon list here?

yeah! if you want to make someone a squib, as long as they weren’t specified not to be one in canon, go ahead! squibs would be really interesting with this plot, imo.

what are your feelings about face claims / races for certain canon families? Do members have freedom with character/family races?

you absolutely have freedom with canon families if you’re the first person to make a character from it – just no white-washing (e.g. the zabinis are black)!
