been looking through the feedist text adventures you posted about a while back and have been loving them ^_^ i was wondering if you had any more recommendations of similar games!
I'm so glad!! Those recs were fun to write, and I had no idea if anyone liked them or not lol
So I think I do have a new rec, possibly two, because I don't know if I've written about The Lipomancer's Ruins before but I do know I've never done a formal rec for the sequel The Lipomancer's Realm
Both are your standard text adventure, and both follow a similar story of "you are an adventurer, there's fattening magic about, enter the dungeon and fight sentient food and try to explore as far as you can before you get too fat to."
I've said before a lot of these games are either "so you got fat, now what?" as in there's no mobility endgame so you just get to be 3000lbs and the descriptors stop updating and nothing changes and now I'm bored or "but I haven't beat the boss yet" as in you start trying to keep yourself from getting too fat because once you do it's endgame and you haven't explored everything and won the game yet. This is definitely the second option. Luckily, in the sequel there's a lot of ways to keep your weight managed so you can keep exploring, as well as lots of ways to gain weight if you rather just have fun with that.
The original is pretty simple, you're just exploring a dungeon, and the sequel is more in depth but it's not finished yet so there's no ending and there are some buggy bits but it's not so unfinished you can't have a lot of fun with it. Personally, I've spent a couple hours playing Realm while tipsy and had a pretty good time. One fun fact about Realm is that you can pick an origin that affects your starting weight as well as how much money you've brought with you and if you have a free place to sleep. I also recommend helping out the inkeeper with her quests and workload, because she'll bring you free food while you're working eventually.
Listen re: that last thing I wrote and the post that inspired it, it is imperative we all think about how Rocky saw Grace starve and did not come out of that normal and is now so over nurturing his friend can't see his feet anymore

He tapped Grace's stomach, delighting in how the sound had changed since before dinner, when Adrian had first arrived and attempted to excuse themself away from the intimate and quite frankly shocking moment.
Their mate, feeding someone by hand. They knew Rocky had strange preferences, but this was certainly taboo.

Yes. Adrian tapped Grace's stomach too, morbidly curious and ignoring the humiliated and somewhat pained squeak of the creature the stomach belonged to. Stomach is very full.
Is not, Rocky said smugly, grabbing the last gelatinous nutrient block off Grace's plate. He was standing on the table (a heavily reinforced thing ever since Rocky broke the first one) to better reach Grace's mouth.
Grace was sitting beside the table rather than at it, his stomach was simply too large to sit any other way and still be within reach of his food.
"Rock, bud..." he panted. "Can we save the demonstration for another- nn!"
He was cut off as Rocky forced the nutrient block into his mouth.
He couldn't help the moan that followed as his tongue circled Rocky's hand before it was withdrawn so Grace could chew.
Chew, chew, chew, until he forced himself to swallow feeling like a pig.
Adrian marveled at how his stomach stretched afterwards. Amaze, amaze, amaze...
Is how humans must be fed, Rocky insisted proudly. Is how Rocky take good, good care of Grace.
He was speaking in baby talk again, as he ruffled Grace's hair and rubbed his burgeoning belly.
Grace was in no position to argue, fighting for each breath and listening for the creaking of his chair just in case he needed to prepare himself for a sudden collapse. "Oough..."
Rocky must feed Grace like this everyday or Grace will starve, yes, Rocky purred. Rocky must feed Grace until he can barely breathe. Is the only way to make human healthy, happy, and safe....

I love the idea of it being common knowledge to not accept the fairies' food, but this one human astounds and impresses all the fairies with their greed and eagerness and so is pampered and beloved.

A. The food has to be specially enchanted for that, but the rumor spread all their food traps you forever
B. All the food traps you forever but the human doesn't care
Cause on one side you get the fey teasing the silly human for being worried and making the advice choice to keep them, on the other you got a human eager enough to be fed they don't care
