I just got the raised beds finished up, finally. First I placed oyster shells down, then leaf mulch that I chopped up with the lawn mower at the end of Fall last year, then I mixed one part Black Kow; one part rabbit manure, one part potting soil; and one part top soil then filled between the slats of the pallets. Once it rains a few times and all of that settles then I'll go back and top it off with that same mixture. After all of those flavors combine I'll be able to plant my garden, I'm hoping this way the plants will do better than they did last year.
