In the heat of the moment, our eyes connected and the world stopped. It felt as though we were the only ones at the ball. My heart beat violently against my rib cage, my breathing stuttered and my hands shook. I flash her what I thought was a charming smile, at least, the only one I could manage. Her cheeks became rosy as she smiled a small smile back to me. Her beauty was like an bloomed rose and her eyes like the warmth of spring. I guess coming to this ball wasn't as bad as I thought. If in the end, I never see her again, I'm glad to have met her, than to never have met her at all.
