I. my name is dae, i'm 28 from the uk, married to my husband with a ten month old baby boy. i have a full time 9-5, am training to become a nail tech in my free time, and suffer with adhd, depression and anxiety. therefore, my activity here will be low, and my time sparse. i come here to write and to spend time with my friends. i do not come here to entertain drama of any kind. i will not reblog callouts, i will not engage in drama on dash, and i will block you if you try to include me. i do not have the time or the energy to deal with it. if you're kind and polite to me, i will be towards you too.
II. i have been around in the fandom since about 2014, i am fully aware that the bioshock community in previous years has been a very toxic and difficult place to be, but i fully believe everyone deserves a fresh start and a blank slate ( with three exceptions). i would like to think we have all grown up and become more mature. however, i was there gandalf, 3000 years ago, when things were very different than they were today, and for this reason, there are certain things i will not be entertaining. the nature of bioshock in itself, is a horror game, and as such, there will be triggering themes present on this blog such as child abuse, drugs and addiction, murder, body horror / mutilation, religion, blood, and more. what i will not entertain or write in any form includes any form of SA including grape, inc*st, child death / miscarriage, transphobia, homophobia, racism, etc. for obvious reasons.
III. i will not, under any circumstances, interact with atlas roleplayers, specifically those who write 'real' atlas. in every single instance in my time on this site, since 2014, every single person who has written this character has always without fail turned out to be a manipulative, nasty and aggressive person, and a liar, ironically just like atlas. i call it the atlas curse. due to so many negative experiences with people who quite frankly need extensive therapy and to touch grass, i no longer feel comfortable interacting with this character. i do not believe in 'real' atlas. atlas = fontaine, and vice versa. if you write 'real' atlas, please do not follow me for my own comfort.
IV. in terms of threads, i ask that we keep things short and simple, unless something has been plotted. i have very limited time here and do not wish to be overwhelmed. if you'd like to turn an ask into a thread, please ask beforehand. additionally, i will do the same for you. i generally improvise on most of my threads, but if you want something more extensive than a first meeting, such as a pre-established relationship, i am more than happy to discuss this. my preference is to write pre-fall rapture when it comes to bioshock, but can write post-fall happily too, or during the 1959 civil war riots and the downfall of the golden era.
V. i will not write smut here, as i do not feel comfortable to do so. if you would like to write anything n.sfw in nature, i will generally only do so if our characters have good, proper chemistry, or we are close friends. it is not something i feel comfortable doing here due to previous experiences; i would much prefer on tumblr to cut to black for my own comfort, or take the encounter off tumblr.
VI. i will only write with mutuals, and i do practice mains / exclusives. please do not let this put you off with writing or following with me - this simply means these are close friends who i will have preference to responding to first. as stated previously, i have been around the rpc on and off a long time, and have lifelong friends in the community. they will come first response wise for obvious reasons. this is not 'elitist' or 'clique' behaviour - strangers are not entitled to my free time as much as i am not entitled to theirs. if you would like to write with me, you can like a starter call or drop me a message.
VII. please do not interact with me if you are any of the following: under the age of 21, a minor, a real atlas roleplayer, an evil yellow eyed jack, a one eyed atlas, or a inc*stual zealot of the lady. the individuals mentioned here were some of the most cruel, hateful and disgusting individuals in the fandom, polluting much of it with bullying, lies and manipulation. you are not welcome near me or my friends. the axe forgets but the tree always remembers.
VIII. i don't care about formatting, icons, gifs, small text etc. do whatever you want, it won't effect my response to you at all. any and all types of formatting are welcome here.
IX. if you write something for me or answer an ask of mine, please tag it and @ me in the post. if you think i haven't seen it, if i haven't liked it or responded within a week, please message me to let me know. tumblr's system for notifications is terrible at best.
X. finally, this blog is not just a bioshock blog - i am open to all kinds of verses, alternate and other timelines, and do not follow strict bioshock canon. ken l.evine made some questionable choices, and there is a lot i would personally change if this game was made today. i am happy to explore all kinds of verses, dynamics and relationships.

she is not in pauper's drop like past iterations, her father is a member of ryan security and therefore they live in moderately comfortable accommodation in what could be considered rapture's middle class apartments.
in 1959, adelias is 23 years old, meaning she was born in 1936, and entered rapture with her father in 1946, when she was 10.
adelias does not splice or begin to use plasmids until rapture has fallen. she does not ever believe in the need for it, despite public opinion or others pressure. when she does begin to use adam, this is incinerate and electroshock.
adele's family are from german descent, and came over before the s.econd w.orld war. their surname has been anglicised; but she speaks some german, as this was her grandfather's mother tongue. despite this, she and her father still sound southern, as she was raised in texas. the mogul family made a fresh start as cattle ranchers, prior to cassidy's war deployment, involvement in becoming a key part of ryan security, and moving to rapture.
adele is a dancer as a stepping stone in wanting to become a professional singer in rapture - it is a 'foot in the door' into fort frolic, and hoping to be noticed by someone with the power or capability to help her achieve her dream.
