the great thing about trinyvale is that when you start you meet the triplets and think “surely jens is the normal one” and like 60% of the time he is (it’s just murph being fed up with emily and jake’s shenanigans) but then the other 40% he’s absolutely batshit insane. arguably the strangest one in the group. and that’s what makes it for me.

the most recent short rest feels like such an Old Short Rest. it has everything. aladdin reference. emily razzing murph. little to no discussion about the actual episode. everyone bringing up childhood anecdotes.

trinyvale triplets have such longevity and ability to be put in any situation because they have that sitcom stank on them. They never learn a lesson and the status quo will inevitably reset no matter what happens, while they are consistently flanderized and made worse across each new adventure so the hilarity continues to reach new heights

I love the Trinyvale Triplets because they just suck so much. They’re the worst people you’ve ever met. Utterly unrepentant shitheads. They became friends and all mutually made each other worse. They will also leave each other for dead at a moments notice. They try to fleece everyone they meet. They’re playing through Strahd but their actual quest is to find a manager to complain to.

Love being reminded that Geralt is the character of all time. He’s a horse girl. He’s a girl dad. Before he went out on the path he gave himself 5 names to seem more like a knight but everyone bullied him about it so he settled for being called “of Rivia” even though he was not from Rivia and had only been there once after he’d become a Witcher. He’s constantly bullied by everyone around him because he’s an idiot. Finally catching up on Trinyvale x Strahd. And Murph playing his canon Worst Guy Award winner™ Jens Lyndelle and saying he loves AI and the comics they make are so well done and funny and clever is so Murph-hates-this-thing-but-won't-say-it-unless-he-is-in-keyfabe energy that we usually only get to see when he's in dungeon court ripping somebody an new asshole for being a unthoughtful dnd player who will try to control the story and trample over their table mates.
