9 years without you..
Rip Chester Bennington
Anyone else drinking and listening to his songs full blast in their headphones? I don't just mean Linkin Park, I'm talking about Dead By Sunrise, Grey Daze, his singles for movies and features like "System" for Queen of the Damned, Mall (2014), "The Walking Dead" by Z-Trip in 2005.
Right here doing the same thing as you, dude. @ashvalentine16
I'll remember you like this forever. Goofy, loud, loving, accepting.
I remember you with the loneliness your music took away, by the burdens it allowed me to carry lighter and easier when the world got too loud and crushing with expectations, when I wasn't heard, when I felt helpless.
I remember you the way I did when I was just a little kid and happy that I had to wear glasses because you did too, when I used to play Linkin Park during birthday parties and dance to songs that other kids found strange to dance to. By what your music introduced me to, the friends I found later on because of our shared love for this band and because of how you made me realize I can love heavier music, and all the places that realization led me to.
I'll remember you every time I feel like giving up, and every time I manage to get things under control again, and with holding others' hands as much as I can even if I need someone to hold my own as well, because that's what life is about, I guess. That's what you would do. What you have done.
Missing you a little more today. <3
It's been 9 years since he died, but he will always remain in our hearts
