hi everybody, you probably have noticed this if you follow me but i am working on a new novel-ish thing called 1260. it is made up of 42 different sections that all take place in different towns and cities around the US and canada. this is where i need your help! i have basically covered everywhere i’ve lived in the sections i’ve written so far and i keep just defaulting to setting everything in seattle which is really tempting but i just can’t do it. if you live or have lived anywhere in north america and send me a message about your city or town or one that means a lot to you, i will probably set something there. i won’t publish anything you send me so feel free to be as candid as you want. Award-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead Sunday afternoon in his New York City apartment, a law-enforcement official said.

The New York Police Department is investigating, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine exact cause of death. The official said Mr. Hoffman, 46 years old, was found dead at his apartment at 35 Bethune St. in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan.

Mr. Hoffman won the Academy Award for Best Actor for the 2005 film, “Capote.” (WSJ)
