made me laugh and cry multiple times (i dont think it was aiming to, but I was vulnerable) does not overstay its welcome, every event has intent and purpose, every chapter is full of action. It hits all the essential cliches of a fake marriage fic, but it’s perfect because it goes through it as House and Wilson would, extremely functionally dysfunctional, queerbait-like, in-character.

the author at some point puts in the chapter notes “sorry the symbolism went crazy there” or something to that effect and it did go crazy (/positive).

Also, the POV is 3rd person wilson-omniscient but house-limited, FOR THE WHOLE THING. Which is what made me REALLY LOVE IT. BECAUSE AUTHOR REALLY NAILS THE WEIRD AND QUESTIONABLE THINGS ABOUT WILSON, from how his ideas become a thought to an impulse to an action, or a thoughtful non-action, or a thoughtless action.
