          A   LONG ,   TIRED   SIGH   ESCAPES   from   peach   lips ,   a   hand   raises   and   combs   through   the   length   of   fluffy   blonde   hair .   his   blue   gaze   dips   first   to   the   ground ,   then   directly   to   the   other :   to   be   caught   in   the   act   was   something   that   never   seemed   to   look   flattering .   he   tightens   his   grip   on   a   folded   ski   mask   in   his   hand ,   somewhat   of   a   sheepish   laugh   falling   from   his   chest .   now   how   does   he   explain   the   bag   of   cash ,   the   black   eye ,   and   the   pistol   strapped   to   his   waist ?

          “   BY   THAT   LOGIC ,    EVERY   ACTION   IS   EXCUSABLE .   ”   she   mentions   casually ,   combing   ringed   fingers   through   short   hair .   it’s   a   loaded   statement ,   coming   from   a   criminal   organization   leader ,    though   there’s   little   reason   to   reflect   on   it :   they   were   both   here   for   the   same   reason .   she   leans   forward   on   the   table ,   improper   manners   to   be   noted ,    as   she   rests   her   elbows   there .    there’s   silence   for   a   moment   until   she   speaks   again ,   the   pause   being   to   study   his   features   and   his   body   language .   she   could   never   be   too   careful .

          “   look   -   if   you   want   me   to   be   honest ,   we   could   use   your   help .   ”   pride   tells   her   to   comb   past   the   fact   that   the   crew   didn’t   feel   entirely   safe   or   comfortable   taking   on   such   a   big   job .   “   we   need   more   guns .   more   people   on   the   ground .   we   have   big   plans   for   this   one ,   and   the   site   we’re   looking   at   has   tons   of   armed   guards .    another   man   will   be   absolutely   game  -  changing   on   this   one   for   us .   ”   she’d   been   looking   into   a   jewelry   shop   robbery ,   and   while   she   trusts   her   team ,    she   was   utterly   unsure   of   the   abilities   of   the   security   when   it   came   to   this   job .           “   you’ll   get   your  cut ,   and   a   decent   one ,   too .   we’re   good   for   it .   ”

          IMMORTALITY   AND   ITS   MEANING , the crew is immortal. some of the crew have been around for decades, others have been around for a shorter time. they are inheritley gifted with their ability to die and come back to life the next day completely unharmed. for some, like saintley, this is a gift. but for others, like wesley, this is a curse. wesley and lola are the youngest of the crew, clocking in at age 19. the more-grown anais, has found herself at a resting age of 33. they do not have control over when their appearance freezes - in fact, they all know very little of their abilities. the oldest of the group is anais, who has been around, traveling from place to place since around the year 1940. they theorize that their age freezes at the age they were truly meant to die, however there is no evidence to their theory. they all discovered that their birth years are seemingly slivered, besides wesley and lola. in fact, saintley has been on earth since 1970, though he never grows a day over the age of 27. many of the crew have outgrown their family - beckett does not talk to his family, but he has a younger sister who is the age of 42, and he has yet to mature past his twenties. this has created severed relationships for the crew, so they stick together as a makeshift family. this tight-bond keeps them stable, although many of the crew seem to drown their thoughts with alcohol and drugs while they’re not working diligently to make money. they just know that they cannot die, no matter how hard they might be trying.
