Wow it's been a while since my last post =L So much for a daily blog!! I guess I've not really got into tumblr that much! But I also recently got instagram which I have to say I love! The filters you can use on your photos are awesome and being able to share to facebook and twitter is great. Plus I love feeling like a hipster taking pictures of anything and everything and slapping a filter on it haha. Been using twitter loads too, love how its a lot quicker than facebook for communicating plus the fact that you can interact with famous people, organisations, etc!!
So, what have I been up to the past two weeks? Well nothing too exciting! =P Apart from of course the Vans Warped Tour! =O It was amazing as usual! Love looking around at all the various stalls and stuff, from the different merch stalls of all the bands and record companies to of course my favorites Peta and Action for Animals!! =P I saw some of my favorite bands play - Four Year Strong, New Found Glory, and Yellowcard! Which reminds me I met all five members and got a poster signed by them! and got my picture taken with Ryan - it was a freaking amazing day!!! Of course I got up close to the front for all three bands~ FYS was epic as usual, but I was pretty close to passing out during Heroes Get Remembered, Legends Never Die!! I think it was a combination of the heat, the fucking obese girl crushing me and the physical effort of jumping and screaming the lyrcis out haha. Love seeing Yellowcard live, their set was amazing! and they said they are releasing a new album in august, or maybe october =S sometime this year at least. Probably my favorite song was when they played Only One, the whole crowd was singing along!! =D New Found Glory were sick too, loved their cover of Basket Case!!
I've met up with some of my friends and done lots of hanging out from the Del Mar Fair to seeing Amazing Spider-Man downtown (which was AMAZING and everyone needs to see)!!! It was good to catch up with Michael, Maddy, and Sarah Rose and hear what uni life is like in the US - UCSD, NYU, and Harvard!! =O Although I honestly don't know how they survive without being able to drink legally!
Which brings me on to my next point - they don't freaking sell cider here!! DX My dad asked if they sold cider and she hadn't heard of alcoholic cider, only the non-alcholic apple cider -_-.
Talking of cider, I skyped with ma pals back in good old Scotland!! ;P Finally managed to find something where Macs and PC's could have a group video chat for free in the form of oovoo!! Was awesome catching up with Ali and Joanne! =D
Let's see what else do I have to talk about... Ah yes well my family went to IHOP the a few days ago for breakfast... There wasn't much veggie stuff but I ordered this vegetable crepe. But it came with egg in it and cheese smothered on top. It was actually bogging/disgusting and kinda pushed me over the edge... into the land of veganness! =P I thought I might as well give it a try for now.. so far its been three days and I've had no animal products whatsoever which has meant no ben and jerry's, normal milk or butter, pancakes, waffles, cheese .. the list goes on! However I have been drinking plenty of soy and coconut milk as well as vegan cheese and butter! I've replaced Ice cream with fruit popsicles until I can get some dairy free ice cream. Although I do miss it!! =[
As an example of what I've been eating, today I had fruit (peach and kiwi) for breakfast and water, lunch was a subway with no cheese and full of veggies + avocado =D, and dinner I had wheat (not egg) pasta with a kick-ass homemade tomato sauce with mushrooms and bread with vegan butter.
It feels awesome being vegan but it's so much harder than being vegetarian!! I've not actually explicitly told my parents that I am trying being vegan, so any arguments have been avoided so far!! =O
Well I have said loads and that's probably enough for one entry... Comic con is in a few days so well excited for that! Oh and my cousin from England is here staying with us! =] Also didn't mention hanging with the guys one xbox and playing loads of halo but I guess that that's assumed haha!
