He turned around to leave, leaving the work attendants completely baffled, when he ran into someone familiar. “Hey! Did you want something to eat? I bought more wings than one man will ever need.”

Jason nursed his vodka in a much more respectable and polite manner, sitting easily with correct posture and looking every bit the ‘proper Englishman’ beside Sully, who looked like a stereotypical ‘rebel American’. He shrugged. “Being an asshole is my specialty,” he drawled, before raising an eyebrow. “Although, I do think that causing anybody agony for whatever reason would make that person the biggest asshole,” he commented lightly, though his eyes stared accusingly at Sully.

Ariel held the glass in her hand, only going to drink it once Jason made a dig at what she had gone through when her heart had been broken. Putting the now empty glass down with a slight thump, Ariel gave Jason the worst daggers she could whilst remaining somewhat subtle. “Like you’ve never hurt anyone, accidentally or intentionally.” She said, rolling her eyes as she always did. “Can you back down?” She muttered to Jason, stroking Sully’s thigh as she did so as if subconsciously showing Sul she was on his side.

Sully didn’t know what he expected of this dinner, but this wasn’t it. Of course he’d expected Jason to be a little petty, but not this bad. Something was obviously seriously wrong when it was Sully of all people to recognise that things were getting a little out of hand. “It’s fine, babe...” Sully murmured to Ariel with a small smile, putting his hand on hers that sat on his thigh. His eyes looked back over to Jason, and Sully sighed. “Jason, I know we’re not really going to get along, and that’s fine because quite frankly I don’t think I’ missing much. But the point is, we’re not here for each other. We’re here for Ariel. So let’s just... enjoy the night and run the second Ariel raises the flag, yeah?”

Tear In My Heart || Suriel
Ariel pushed his shoulder playfully at his remark, before nodding and laughing.
“You know me, always looking at the best outcome.” She smiled sarcastically. “Wait, what do they say about apples?” She frowned with a laugh, the joke and meaning behind it going right over her head. As he choose the shoes, she sighed with relief. “Thank fuck.”
Sully couldn’t help but grin at Ariel as she very clearly was happy with the choice he made with the shoes. Enough money to buy apples, a lot cheaper than doctors, Sully thought to himself. Trying to keep his composure calm and instead focusing on Ariel’s beautiful grin, he took her to the front of the store to pay for the shoes and get started on the rest of their shopping expedition.
“Come on babe, just make a decision!” Sully laughed, watching Ariel staring at the shelf and their choices for breakfast. It had been a surprisingly fun day. Sully never thought something as simple as shopping for food would make him happy, but here he was with Ariel, and it was all he was. They were almost done, and given their budget their basket wasn’t to the brim with food, but still Sully waited patiently for his girl to make her choice. “I swear, I’m going to leave without you if you don’t hurry up,” he groaned, although his tone suggested the very opposite was true.
“What are you looking at?” Sully stated in confusion, spinning around as if to see something behind him when the person asked. "Will it bite?"
