i realized i never made a proper pinned post, so hi!

i'm soph, and this is basically my fun little gif blog ( ˙▿˙ )

the only reason i'd ever used tumblr before was to lurk around and find fun gifs to use for random purposes, so i thought id make my own blog to make it easier to sort through them!

i like to reblog and make a lot of gifs. all of them can be found here :)

i tend to reblog other cool stuff but all of its untagged so it doesnt mix in with the gifs :p

The banner would have been painted by an artist on silk (or maybe linen if they're on a budget). I don't think they would have sat as reference, so just imagine that they posed briefly and instructed the artist to paint it EXACTLY like this to explain why they wouldn't have preserved Jae's modesty lol.

The term "pudenda" refers to the external genitalia.

A medieval man's undergarments usually consisted of braies (made of linen, kind of like boxers but could vary in length depending on the period), hose (likely wool), and a garter if the hose were not tied to the braies.

The houppelande is the brown outer tunic-thing Jae wears.

The style of their portrait for the banner is sort of inspired by the Spiezer Chronik, a manuscript full of guys that look like Matt Johnson.
