This is not the usual content for this blog (which, I admit, I haven’t been keeping up with very well. Sorry!), but it’s very important to me and it’s all about helping animals!

After four years of schooling and over 1,500 hours of training via internships and volunteering, I am finally applying to become a licensed wildlife rehabber. This means I’ll be lending my time to raising orphaned baby animals, healing the ill, and caring for those injured by cars, traps and other such things. 

The raccoon pictured above, Precious, is one of the many babies I raised last year at Wildlife In Crisis. Her mother was hit by a car and she was the only survivor in her litter. Every year there are many more like her who need our help, and in turn I’m asking for your help! There is no profit to be made from wildlife rehab, and in fact all of the expenses will be coming out of pocket. From food to heating pads and cages to medical supplies, the cost adds up quickly.

I set up a fundraiser page on IndieGoGo’s Generosity server. Any support in the form of donations or signal boosting would be seriously amazing! I’ll be starting a separate blog for the whole wildlife rescue journey soon and will post all further updates there. Thanks, everyone!
