I swear something that REALLY pisses me off a lot with being a Yukiru shipper that I noticed recently is that I can’t enjoy Yukiru centric AMVs on YouTube in peace. Regardless if they’re old or new
There ends up being more Kyo x Tohru related comments than the shippers coming to enjoy their noncanon content…
Like… WHY ARE YOU HERE??? I don’t watch these AMVs for the Kyoru dick sucking everyone is doing, I come for my non canon ship. Just leave us alone… you get what I mean?
Yes, I get what you mean.
I've seen this a lot too.
Whenever Yukiru content pops up, there will often be a lot of people commenting about Kyoru and how it is better and canon, and how Yuki doesn't see Tohru that way, elaborating spoilers about that and how Yuki gets with Machi.
A lot of people know and don't care.
Like I know what happened in the manga, and anime, I know how it ends. I still ship it, repeating the same phrases over again like a broken record isn't going to change my mind🤷🏻♀️
But even if this doesn't spoil me, it does spoil newcomers.
And there is no point in spoiling them and not letting them enjoy their ship (Yukiru) (Heck, other ships as well), since their ship is canon (Kyoru).
Some content creators have even had to go as far as delete these people's comments so that Yukiru shippers will feel safer.
Like there is no point of clicking on those videos if they are just going to complain that Kyoru is better (of course, not everyone is like this, but there is quite a handful of people that are). And there is a LOT more content of Kyoru that they can choose to watch, and talk about Kyoru in. There is a LOT more Kyoru content for them to consume. Why waste it policing on other ships?🤦🏻♀️
Hopefully this will calm down a bit though, now that the anime has ended.
Truthfully, this activity has made me hesitant on posting (even though it shouldn't be that way).
So now that the anime has ended hopefully I'll have the courage to post more.
But I guess we will see.

Ahhh it’s so nice to see another Yukiru shipper🥰🥰🥰 As much as I do like Tohru, Yuki is my fav, the character development he goes through is amazing he’s the best boi 🥺🥺
Same here! I love Tohru. But Yuki is my favorite too. He just keeps growing in every part of the series and trying to figure himself out on his own. Watching his journey is just amazing. There is so much to analyze about his character and I love it

It's hard to find someone to relate to in the fandom because of this.
I considered leaving the fandom too, but I realized how ridiculous it was. I like Fruits Basket, I've liked it for a long time. To leave the fandom because some people online were being rude, I felt was just frustrating, and was something I shouldn't even have to consider. I should be allowed to express my own opinion without being silenced because others disagree.
Especially with something as harmless as shipping Yuki and Tohru together 😂
