âProbably. You could tell me about your last visit to the dentist.â Arrow lost, she was much less interested in flirting. Debating just walking away because really, what was he going to do, complain, she put a hand on her hip and flicked her hair, irritated. âWere you going to trust me? Mistake on your part. If youâre going to make a fuss, Iâm happy to keep my clothes on.â He was good looking, and he had nice clothes. She supposed she could take some. Maybe raid his fridge. It still seemed like selling herself short, but sheâd made the bet. He flirted with her, and despite her irritation, his sarcasm was actually kind of funny. They mocked their fellow pedestrians and made predictions about the people in the cars that drove past. It was absurdly hot, so that by the time they arrived at his surprisingly nice house, Clover needed a drink. She guessed, from the amount of female clothing lying around, that he had roommates. Werewolves, no doubt. None of them smelled like Lily, so she was safe. Snagging water, she followed him to his room. He was all business and she rolled her eyes. âI think Iâm going to call you Lucky. Like a golden retriever.â Playing around with her phone, she thumbed through songs. Putting on a song called Monsters, which felt appropriate, she stalked over and pushed him back on the bed, straddling his waist and sliding her top off over her head tossing it behind her. Leaning down, she almost kissed him before pulling back, dancing to the music as she pulled her hair out of her ponytail and shook it out, running her fingers through it and then down her body, meeting at her waist and rolling her shorts down slowly. Putting her hands on either side of his face, she batted her eyelashes at him. âBe a lamb and help me, Lucky. I seem to have forgotten what Iâm supposed to do next.â
