i wanted to ask for just. general more explanation on the server? it sounds very fun but i’ve never joined a public minecraft server before so i was wondering if you could give me some stats and stuff. thanks :-)

Sure! Here's a bit of an extract from the description we use on Minecraft server websites.

Overview:

Hard difficulty, vanilla spawn rates Hosted on dedicated, top tier hardware Located in California USA

Season 3: 16/02/2023 - at least 1 year.

Server Summary:

The objective of Summit is to provide a server without many limitations on productive and fun gameplay. Summit is hosted on top tier hardware and we encourage complex redstone builds & farms. Griefing and hacking are strictly not tolerated. We do not have typical land claiming systems or protections but do have a light weight and easy to use chest locking system to protect containers. Too many servers are bloated, with players being bogged down by Land Claims, McMMO Towny, Crates and kits when joining. Returning to the roots of SMP, we have attempted to perfect the fundamentals of simple semi-vanilla gameplay with a few extra and well refined features! A lot of our players have chosen to build close to spawn but due to our large world border, you have the option to hide away.

Why are we a semi-vanilla server instead of vanilla? We have a few features:

The ability to set a configurable waypoint with /sethome

The ability to teleport to spawn with /spawn Gold can be used as official currency

Rare head drops

The ability to toggle phantoms Death coordinates in chat upon death And a few other QoL features that don't break the spirit of traditional Minecraft gameplay We have a very competent staff team and advanced grief rollback tools & hacker detection. Staff play like normal players and the server only has 1 admin.

There are also some things we have avoided adding intentionally:

You cannot teleport to other players (/tpa)

There are no forms of land claming but chests can be protected

You cannot travel back to previous locations (/back)

No crates, kits or P2W donor perks
