Every picture tells a story. Those who follow my many blogs and trip journals know that I take hundreds of photos. Unlike my travel blogs, the intent of this blog is to highlight some of my more “artsy” and/or “unique” photos from around the US and Canada. There won’t be any huge buffaloes or twine balls or strange restaurants. Rather, I intend to show the beauty and interest of places. I hope you enjoy this diversion. A little something about these photos. Conditions were perfect for capturing the rare occurrence of TWO natural phenomena together… a full rainbow with wrapping over anticrepuscular (opposite the sun) rays. These rays needed the sun to still be appearing below cloud level. beams of light are sent out in parallel under the clouds and appear to be converging on the horizon, but that is really only perspective. For them to converge through a rainbow and thus appear under a rainbow is really a rare treat. A hard cover 8.5 x 11 book (also plan on a paperback cover and a Kindle version) chock full of my full-color photos and commentary from my favorite nature site.
