the thing about hudcon is it is that serious to me. like the soulmatism the genuine love the friendship the inexplicable sexual chemistry the nearly missed connections the maybe in another life of it all. in mysandbox
i think people’s tolerance for ambiguity in relationships needs to be higher
FIC: still there's a wound and i'm moving slow
pairing: hudcon
And so they’d distanced themselves, established separate identities—Hudson to Fallon, Connor to Seth; Connor for YSL, Hudson remaining a free agent—which was fine! It was. It just felt to Hudson like he was missing an appendage at times. But one could live like that, he supposed. It’s not like it was his heart or something.
[Or: They’re at the Met Gala, and it’s been a rough six months.]
I am not an RR hater but sometimes I am in awe of how much better the show is than the books. And there’s a lot of reasons for that! But one of them is definitely Hudson and Connor’s willingness/ability to deliver the most Hallmark-caliber lines like they were gunning for the Oscars.
“I kinda prefer being the hole rather than the peg” . . . on the page, so cringey I want to die. Hudson’s line reading somehow made it sweet and kinda emotional?
And this is an unpopular one, but I hate the “stupid Canadian wolf bird” scene in the book. (Admittedly, this is a me problem, I hate scenes that are meant to be funny but aren’t.) Instead of trying to force laughs, Connor and Hudson were so genuine that it felt sooooo much more natural on the screen.
Fingers crossed Hudson wins that CSA award this weekend! For turning “fuck off” into an art form.
and he did! win! i am so happy 😭
Robbie GK you are so special to me.
imagine being a lonely young kid who wants a friend so bad that you put it on your YouTube channel with like 2 subscribers -- and now a decade later you have someone who dedicated his first award to you on national television and who wishes he could split it down the middle so he could give half of it to you. imagine
