Finished Love on the Other Side (2/3) (It felt like a bunch of first drafts for Girl from the Other Side, for better and for worse)

Finished a commission.

Started another commission.

Did a LOT of character sketches for the next project.

Reached 49,490 words of Black Teeth (and hit 50,000 the next day! I'm taking a very short break til the 18th then continuing to write.)

Finished 1 commission.

Woohoo! Not bad at all, especially in the writing department. Still, I want to try even harder with comic work. I'm trying to set aside an hour a day or so to work on it, but that means nothing if I get distracted all the time... I also really need to finish that commission.

First week of the new semester! I feel alright.

Uploaded a chapter of Black Teeth. (Month goal completed! Updated to 3 chapters of Black teeth this month.)

Reached 34,495 words of Black Teeth as of writing this.

Took up two beta reading offers.

Lined (1/4), colored (2/5), and shaded (2/4) a page.

Uploaded the next page of CNIDARIA.

Began a habit tracker.

2025 GOALS

HAPPY 2005! I mean. 2025. Damn. Sorry I've been absent, my school and personal life have been crazy because of exams and holidays. I've been doing art, just not talking about it on here.

I have a list of things I want to do this year. I won't be sharing all of them because some are personal, but I have a few I'll be updating this blog with. I'm going to start small so I can update them as I go, probably in future reblogs.

Anyway, these are overall goals for the year:

Keep up the comic work.

2 pages of the comic per week during summer (May to August).

Completely play 5 games.

Completely watch 3 shows.

Completely read 5 books.

Finish writing Black Teeth, and maybe hire an editor?

Cook 5 new foods.

So yeah! I hope we have a kind year.

November 9-16 Log

Watched Ringu and Ju-On: The Curse. Both were very good!!

Posted comic updates on the 9th and 16th.

Got another commission. Going to work on them tomorrow.

Also trying to do a local commission! Let's see how it goes.

Lined, colored, and shaded a page.

Up to 93% done with Dracula.

Began writing about 500 words every day on the 7th, and have kept this up.

Made 4 simple sketches.

Made a detailed fanart of Mouthwashing.

November 1-8 Log

Finished the shading on this week's page.

Finished lineart for next week's page. (1/8)

Finished Volume 10 of Siuil a Run.

Began Volume 11 of Siuil a Run.

Watched The Thing. It was really good, just wish I went in blind! Some of the big scenes were spoiled to me when I was younger because one of my friends loved that movie.

Made 4 character sketches.

Made 2 worldbuilding sketches.

Sketched, colored, and added some detail to a late kinktober prompt thing.

Began writing something.

Continued listening to Dracula. Up to 62% done.

So far so good! I spent a day just working on the comic, which I really needed. I plan to watch Ringu tonight and Ju-On tomorrow because I've gotten a lot of stuff done (for art and school). I use Focumon and I get little points and rewards (self-set) for doing my tasks. Fun stuff!

November Plans

I will continue to post Halloween gifs because this is my blog and I can do what I want (within reason. halloween gifs aint hurting anyone!!)

Anyway, in the art department:

Line 4 pages.

Color 4 pages.

Shade 4 pages.

Post comic updates on November 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th.

Post non-comic images at least twice on Deviantart, Tumblr, etc.

Curate and cut some chapter pieces.

In the media department:

This month's movies are mostly supernatural J-horror: The Thing (1982 + the one exception), Ringu (1995), Ju-On: The Curse (2000) and Hausu (1977).

Watch Over the Garden Wall. Better late than never.

Finish Siuil a Run.

Read the 2nd volume of Parasyte.

I don't celebrate Thanksgiving, really... but we get a couple of days off for it. I'll do my best, maybe devote an hour or so to one of these goals each day (besides the movies, of course).

October Plans

GOD I'M SO PUMPED FOR OCTOBER. RAHHH!! I'll especially have time around Fall Break about 2 weeks in, which is exciting!!

Anyway, in the art stuff department:

Line, color, and shade the next 8 pages. (slenderman if he was a digital artist)

Post updates on October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th.

Draw a Halloween promo image.

Draw shorthand references of younger versions of the cast

Make a kandi bracelet.

In the media department:

Finish Siuil a Run

Watch Over The Garden Wall again. Maybe Trick r Treat too.

Get 1/3rd through the House of Leaves

Watch a horror movie each Sunday (Current list is The Shining, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and The Thing)

Put together a grim reaper costume

I'm going to Halloween Horror Nights on October 4th, which I'm excited about! And much later this month is my birthday. And soon after is Actual Halloween. I want to go to Spirit Halloween right after for those deals...

I also plan on cooking butternut squash soup and/or something with pumpkin. Seasonal food is the best! I don't talk about it much here, but I love to cook.

Oo boy. I didn't do a whole lot this month. But hey, here's what I did do.

From the Lists:

Began lineart on another page.

Posted the October 5th and 12th updates.

Drew the Halloween Promo image.

Made a kandi BELT!! :D

Watched Trick r Treat, The Shining, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Put together a grim reaper costume.

Read most of Siuil a Run volume 10.

Evacuated safely from a hurricane!

Celebrated my birthday and hung out with my mom!

Listened to 48% of Dracula (in about 2 weeks)

Completed 2 commissions and received a 3rd to do.

Sketch-designed a character separate from my current comic.

Made several other sketches.

I have like one or two more concepts I want to draw from Kinktober but I'll have to shelve them for now. It was a fun month, but not really a focused one. Still, looks like I did more than I thought. So cheers to enjoying life and doing fun stuff. Let's do our best this month, too!

Oct 25-31 Log

Haven't sat down and done work... I gotta keep trying. Shit happens, but I gotta keep trying.

Watched Halloween. It was really good!

Celebrated me and my friend's birthdays.

Finished my costume...

...but was left behind for trick or treating. :(

Had a lovely weekend with my mom.

Listened to more Dracula. 48% through. Lucy is afoot.

Colored and posted the Halloween promo.

Worked on a few sketches for a different story (Halloween-ish, so it was on my mind. full of ghouls and such)

About to do the November plan. I procrastinated a lot this month... I really need to get caught less on drawings of whimsy. They're not evil, but I gotta focus.

Oct 20-24 Log

Literally so cute... go girl

Watched the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It was really good!

Began listening to Dracula, and am about 20% of the way through.

Worked on my halloween costume. I'd say I'm about 40% done.

Sketched another Kinktober entry.

Began coloring the Halloween Promo.

Continued lineart for the backlog.

Doing my best. I plan to hunker down and get some page lineart done this weekend. I also plan to watch the movie Halloween (though sadly not on Halloween itself, as my mother's coming over and she does not enjoy horror movies).
