OUR THEORY ABOUT THE SEARCH FOR THE LEVIATHAN BY WIFIES

Basically, we believe that Hummer is the King in Yellow.

I know it sounds crazy, but hear us out….

Why do you think Hummer isn’t just a normal player?

There is evidence to suggest that Hummer isn’t exactly ‘real’, or at least cannot be seen by other characters. At the very beginning just before they meet, we see Wifies open the tab list (1) and it only shows him as being on the server. We never see Hummer’s nametag appear as having joined the game. While it could be possible this was edited out for the sake of the video, it makes no sense to cut it as he was actively waiting for Hummer to join. In addition, in this (2) conversation with Parameterization, he is acting very confused at Wifie’s use of the collective pronoun ‘we’ll’ when referring to him and Hummer and he looks around as if no one else is there. Similarly to the first server, when they are on Arronax’s server Hummer is nowhere to be found on the tab list (3). Interesting.

What evidence do you have for the King in Yellow even being part of the world?

When Wifies is sent to the Leviathan world the architecture is very reminiscent of the architecture in SFAWTDE and DAWTDE, using a lot of the same blocks and colours, most importantly yellow (4). Furthermore, it is briefly hinted that this ARG takes place in the same universe as his other ARGs (5). Wifies says that makes YouTube videos about ‘solving mysteries’ NOT ‘telling stories’, which implies these mysteries are not fictional within this universe. It’s also important to note that Wifies is a protagonist in this ARG, not the narrator like usual. So surely there has to be a reason? Wifies also faints when he opens the chest, which implies that whatever force he is dealing with is very powerful and who do we know has the ability to affect someone in real life through their minecraft character?? The King in Yellow.

So what is the whole Leviathan thing about then?

Hummer is very insistent on finding someone smart enough to search for Levi with him, despite almost everything they do together being something he could’ve done on his own. In the same way, Hummer never gives a full explanation as to why he is set on finding the Leviathan and we believe it is because he isn’t actually looking for the Leviathan, he is instead looking for Wifies.

Think about it, in SFAWTDE he is set on leading Avery to his domain, by intriguing him with a mystery which is exactly what he is doing here with Wifies. We believe Arronax is right- the Leviathan is NOT real, the King in Yellow is simply feeding off of this story to entice Wifies and lead him to the world we see at the end. If Hummer was a normal player, he would’ve waited for Wifies to return to the original server, seeing as he was so interested in finding Levi. The fact that he isn’t there is proof that he doesn’t need to know what happened to Wifies because he already knows.

Why does the King in Yellow want Wifies specifically?

In their conversation in the submarine, Hummer confesses he has never done anything like that with anyone else (6), he also mentioned prior that he had been looking for someone exactly like Wifies (7). But why? In DAWTDE, we know that the King in Yellow just needs one mind, so surely he can just corrupt anyone? Well, we already mentioned that Wifies still made his SFAWTDE and DAWTDE videos in this universe, and surely they have to be just as big. He can’t let Wifies find and expose any more information about him than he already has.

Other evidence that isn’t really evidence but made us giggle

Derlord can’t look away from his screen, Hummer’s head is literally a screen.

When Wifies approaches the chest, it sort of looks like the golden gates from SFAWTDE if you squint

Hummer asking Wifies to believe in him is very Godlike of him.

After Derlord sees the King in Yellow for the first time, he immediately goes silent and sends Avery a note. The same thing happens with Wifies after he faints, he goes straight to messaging Hummer.
