(Questions from the ask box will be added here in future unless they were answered already in the rules section)
What content isn't allowed?
Sexual themes (the furthest we are allowing is the occasional innuendo à la Scar style)
High levels of graphic depictions of violence i.e. detailed depictions/descriptions of gore, open organs, guts, mutilation etc.
Content about content creators/Real person fiction
Bashing this pair or other pairs or other people’s interpretations of pairs in this series
Ai generated content of any capacity
How do we filter between the different relationship types for this pair?/How will people know my piece is for a specific interpretation of the pair?
We request to our participants that want their pieces reblogged by our Tumblr to put in the tags or on the post itself whether they want their piece to be romantic, platonic or ambiguous/don't mind (if a participant doesn't do this we will assume the piece is ambiguous unless content warrants shipping tags)
Before reblogging the piece we will check how the participant want their piece to be viewed as and reblog according:
If marked as platonic, the reblog will be tagged with #sunflower duo
If marked as romantic, the reblog will contain all the shipping tags that apply and all the shipping names for this pair
If marked as ambiguous, the reblog will be tagged with #ambiguous and have both #sunflower duo and all the shipping names but not the shipping tags
If there's an interpretation of the pair that is unwanted, simply filter the appropriate tags
AO3 is simpler as they have relationship tags for romantic and platonic relationships ( ‘/’ for romantic and ‘&’ for platonic) so it's expected that contributors will use one of those tags
If the piece is ambiguous, contributors are free to use both tags but it's recommended to also add the ambiguous relationships tag as well
Again, filter for the dynamics you do and don't like
I live in [X] and my timezone will make my days ahead/behind this event’s days. How will I know it's the correct day to post my piece?
At midnight AEST time on each day the event tumblr blog will post an announcement saying that a new day of the event has started meaning that any pieces made for that day’s prompts can be posted and reblogged! AEST is one of the earliest time zones and posting at midnight of the new day should clear any worries of posting your piece earlier than you should have or getting confused with time zones. In fact, there's a high probability that the posting period for you will start earlier than expected so be prepared for that!
Do you allow for late submissions?
If you post your piece later than the day’s prompts but still within the posting week (e.g. post a day 2 prompt during day 5) your piece will still be reblogged as tagged as usual.
If you post within the week after the original event week then it will be queued until the final day of that week where all the late submissions will be posted at once.
Anything made beyond those two weeks will not be reblogged.
Are we required to upload our piece on both tumblr and ao3?
No, you are not required to upload the piece on both sites. Uploading on only one is perfectly fine!
Is there a minimum work count/expected level of quality for the pieces?
As long as the piece is appropriately tagged, abides by the content restrictions, and focuses on Pearl and Scar, it's allowed! Doesn't matter if it’s a sketch or a wip or a drabble, if the focus is on Pearl and Scar, it'll be acknowledged and reblogged/added to the collection by the event!
I’m a beginner/minor/new to the fandom/haven’t made anything for this pairing before, can i still participate?
Of course!! We want this event to be as welcoming as possible so regardless of skill level or experience, feel free to join! We’re always in favour of seeing more people make stuff for the pair!
