it's honestly painful to see how easily people would find a cynical way to use others' suffering to promote their own agendas. it's like the grief and pain of others is a game. like it's a punchline to a joke. like it's acceptable casualties. like they should be thankful, because if their hurt isn't use cynically it won't be heard at all
