I'm SONIA KATS, a transgender queer refugee, and I come to you with a heavy heart today. I’m part of a community of LGBTIQ refugees who are facing unimaginable challenges. Life in the camp is beyond difficult. We have almost no access to food, clean water, medication, or even proper shelter. Every day feels like a battle for survival, and despite our resilience, the lack of basic necessities is pushing us to the brink.It feels embarrassing to ask for help, honestly. I hate it. But the truth is, we’re vulnerable and we need support. Without the kindness of people like you, we are left to starve. We depend on the generosity of well-wishers just to get through the day. Lately, the donations we’ve received have been scarce, and right now, we are at a critical point. We need your help, now more than ever. Your donation can make the difference between life and death for us. No matter how small, it helps provide food, water, medical care, and shelter for us. If you can, please contribute to our GoFundMe fundraiser and help us survive this dire situation.I know asking for money feels wrong, and it’s hard to come forward like this, but the reality is, we are desperate. We can’t do it alone, and we’re relying on the compassion of those who can lend a hand.Thank you for reading and for caring. Your support means everything to us.
Help 27 LGBTQ+ Refugees in South Sudan Find Safety, Health, and Hope
Dear Friends… A Shah-Scarborough needs your support for Urgent Aid
This is Sonia Kats. She's a trans woman refugee from South Sudan. Her and a few other families who identify as LGBT+ members are facing discrimination and hardship at a refugee camp. Please consider donating and reblogging this post to ensure their safety and better conditions.
This gofundme is organized by Shah Scarborough and Anam Nguyen.
Originally, I went in worried the opposite would happen. Growing up, I've been taught that Nigeria, the country, is homophobic. (I was born in America.) But over time, I learned that there's tons of other queer Nigerians; some are out, and some are in the closet 😭.

3 Step Takedown Part 1! Each group was assigned a project meant to test their teamwork and strategy when dealing with anomalies in the wild. Each group has a different scenario with the same requirement of taking down their anomalous target with one move per student!

Small Character Introductions for our comic Class of Clairvoyant

Mini Comic: Here
Other Socials: Here
Hello Everyone 👋🏿😁. We're a small indie art group of 3 currently creating a comic called Class Of Clairvoyant! Some of you may be here from our reddit when we started to upload our art there a few weeks ago; and saw an iteration of this post (We Updated Tae, and did Grammar Fixes for this one). Some of you may be here from when we first started putting out art for this comic years ago (Thanks for still sticking around ❤️!)
For everyone else that is new to our page or this being your first time seeing anything from us; Welcome to Empathetic Society! We create comic's, arts, stories, and animations all with the focus of making content that not only engages our imagination but also educates.
Our first main comic is Class Of Clairvoyant designed to be a comic for kids, teens, and adults to have fun adventure with, while also talking about different and real circumstances that kids go through mentally, physically, and emotionally.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a coming of age story and fantasy inspired by movies, comics, cartoons, and manga's like: Paranorman, 90's X-Men, Adventure Time, KND, My Hero Academia, Gravity Falls, Craig of the Creek and Hunter X Hunter.
We wanted to capture the colorful, fun, and imaginative energy of what it's like to watch a saturday morning cartoon, while also having the focused world building and character development that comes from a fleshed out story with growth, consequences and stakes. We want our stories to always have something that you can take an apply to your everyday life to help improve it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So we wanted to make a world and story that took away the scariness, or confusion of where to start when engaging with some of the topic's mentioned earlier; while also creating a space for kids and everyone to grow with these characters and see themselves within them.
TL;DR:
If you like the 🖼 Imagination and 🎨 Vibrancy of stories like:
•Adventure Time,
•KND, and
●Strange Academy
If you like 🎭 Grounded yet 🧙🏿♂️Fantastical Story Telling of stories like:
●ParaNorman
•Coraline
•Avatar The Last Airbender
If you like 🤹🏿♂️ Diverse Ensemble cast of characters with Unique Abilities that focus on Teamwork Like:
•My Hero Academia
•Teen Titans
-And Lastly-
If you like Mysteries🔎 similar to "Puzzle-Box Storytelling" centered around clues and world building like:
•Gravity Falls, and
•Hunter X Hunter
Then stay tuned because we have a quite literal world of adventures and stories to show you! 🌟🌏
Our Mini Comic is posted on our page Here if you'd like to check it out and get a glimpse of our world.We'd love any feedback, and look forward to answering any questions you guys might have about the character designs or story (within reason).
Here's a small blurb that we have to help kick things off:
In the new town of Queen Anne's Lace, families far and wide travel in hopes of starting new lives and obtaining better opportunities. But their "new" home feels eerily lived-in and hastily abandoned. Separated from the neighborhood by a strange, creature-filled forest sits the school—and within it, holds an isolated and specialized classroom. Here, an ensemble of anomaly-powered kids have been mysteriously cherry-picked from the student body, guided by a solitary teacher who acts as if she's been waiting for them all along.
As these students try to find their footing, their daily routine involves wrangling the woods' supernatural entities for extra credit and protecting their strange new home. But they'll soon discover that learning to use their powers responsibly goes hand-in-hand with understanding the complex world around them—especially when they realize the creatures in the forest are just the first clue to uncovering the towns deep and eerie secrets.
Look forward to and comments or feedback, Thank you all 😁🙌🏿!

After seeing the reaction everyone had on here and our other socials after reading out Mini Comic; We wanted to create something that allowed people to have something from the Class Of Clairvoyant universe and help support the continuation of it 😁🙌🏿.
We're a small group of 3, so every sticker sold and every like and comment received goes a long way for us and is greatly appreciated ❤️. It gives us the ability to make more comics centered around fun, imagination, and education in diverse ways not typically or traditionally shown.
For those who may be seeing our art and comic for the first time; Here's our little blurb for Class Of Clairvoyant:

You're Nigerian pride art brought me to tears...I'm so serious...
Growing up queer here and being constantly surrounded by homophobic and transphobic comments made about queer people is always like a stab to the heart.
It feels like you're some kind of hidden threat in disguise and it genuinely hurts knowing you can NEVER come out to the people you trust unless you want to ruin your entire relationship with them.
So seeing this art....just....just...
Seeing Nigerian people get to BE openly queer? It's beautiful., just beautiful...
I know there are MANY queer Nigerians in this country but you can't help but feel so alone.
This art was beautiful. Thank you. It made me feel so incredibly seen.
Love from Nigeria. 🇳🇬
I'm super sorry for responding late!
I really wish being gay, trans, ace, and having other identities wouldn't be a problem in Nigeria. I heard younger generations want to make a change, but sadly, the old folks run the social hierarchy 😭.
For the time being, i'm grateful that the post reached you and helped you feel seen.
your nigerian pride art really warmed my heart, especially for how much ive been trying to reconnect with nigerian culture the past few years and make it my own
You and me both :)
As Nigerian-American born outside of the country, there's still so much I need to learn from our culture. I think Nigeria has tons of beautiful attire. Through the artwork, I wanted to portray their variety while celebrating LGBT+ month (bc im bi.)
It's great that you're looking to reconnect, and I hope your journey continues well 🫶
cheering ur nigerian pride art made me feel so so happy as another queer west african like hell yeah :D!!!!! i didnt know i needed that but i did so ty so much
Aye! Much love from one West African to another! 🫶 💕
i just saw your nigerian pride art and was... i don't even have words to describe how beatiful it is. like imagine the word beatiful but times infinity.
