why do you think infinite are so unpopular nowadays? other groups who debuted after them have become so much more popular so much more quickly than infinite. as a fan of another group, i see the differences between them. there are so many blogs for my group but not as many for infinite. i'm not hating because i actually really like woohyun but i wonder why they are not popular, expecially when they have someone like him in the group
I think I need to reiterate what I have said before, maybe a little louder for those in the back there:
Popularity on Tumblr does not necessarily equal the level of popularity and success outside of Tumblr
INFINITE are an idol group in their 6th year since debut. They have had not one but TWO successful world tours - real world tours, not just Asia and a couple of dates in the US.
They have been chosen as the government’s Hallyu Wave Representative Idol Group and stood on the same stage as the S.Korean president.
People know who INFINITE are in Korea. You hear their songs played everywhere (I even heard album tracks being played in this one restaurant I went to). Even people I know who aren’t into Kpop knew who INFINITE were.
Just because the fandom is a little smaller on Tumblr, and just because we’re not as noisy as other fandoms might be, it doesn’t mean we are small or that our group is any less successful or popular.
I’m sorry, anon, I don’t mean to sound horrible but I’m getting a little fed up and bored of people saying how INFINITE aren’t popular when they actually are. Everyone needs to realise that Tumblr isn’t the beginning and end of fandom. It is actually a small percentage.
