❛ Yachi-chan! How are you ? ❜ He calls to the younger girl from the entrance of the gym, as he lowers his bag to the floor. There’s a smile, as usual; though he’s early, and he hadn’t been expecting anyone else to be, too.  ❛ It’s cold this morning, isn’t it ? ❜

             suga was her saving grace  ;  she’d been alone for the past fifteen minutes setting up for practice — which should’ve been a normal  — but in the early morning, the gym had an eerie air to it.  his voice only adds to the illusion first, a tiny yelp accidentally slipping through her voice as he calls to her ( perhaps the ghoul had finally revealed itself !!  was it there to eat her !? ) — but as she sees him, usual warm smile in play, a wave of relief washes over her, and she even manages to laugh at her own skittishness.   ❛  oh, suga - san !!  i’m fine — i’m fine now !!  it is pretty chilly, yeah !!  you’re pretty early today !!  ❜

              a hand rose as a way to signal the blonde – many people have been waiting for a special valentine from the captain. but, of course, he couldn’t rule out karasunos’ most precious girls. he got quickly rejected by kiyoko – to be expected. he made his way towards the girl, his hand handing her a handmade card. sure, it was lacking real artistic ability, but it’s at least SOMETHING from the setter, right? taped to it, was a small wrapped chocolate. ‘ happy valentines day! ‘

           given her own talents and experience, yachi has an eye for artistic ability — and while the card didn’t paint him to be some young picasso, she already treasures it dearly in the instant she sees it.  feebly she reaches out, taking the card between two fingers before bringing it close for further examination.  immediately, her cheeks flare up in vibrant pink, eyes creeping skyward to meet his.   ❛  oooo ... for me ??  really ??  thank you so much ...  ❜   consider it fate, she had chocolate left over after giving her boys the cards she’d made to commemorate the day — she holds a finger up to signal he waits, shifting her backpack to one arm while the other reaches around and digs through the front pouch.  after a few moments gone by searching, she comes up with a treat, holding a chocolate bar out to him.  ❛  here !!  ❜

❝ Hey !! These headphones are really AWESOME. They have noise cancellation !! Want to try them out ?! ❞

           since he’s offering ... how could she say no !?  she nods once, grunting softly in place of an audible ‘yes’ .  if she can try them on for herself, maybe she can better understand his hilarious outbreak !!  yachi tucks loose locks of blonde back, exposing her ears before holding her hands out to take the headphones.  ❛  sure — they won’t hurt my ears, though .. right !?  they won’t be too loud !?  ❜

     a bemused smile , one brow lifted & shoulders back. arm tilts at a better angle —— skinned elbow now poised. free hand tapped at his side , fingertips rising & falling in an absent rhythm against the bench. ( hopefully there aren’t any loose nails. )

     ‘ yep ?? ’

     she seems ready to faint —— but still somehow the light question is the closest he can get to showing actual CONCERN.

       man, she was saying stupid things again — all the most reason to keep her eyes down, delving deeper into the task - at - hand.  easily, she was overthinking the process ; but had she not, she’d find herself more concerned in his off stare, or how his tone of voice frightened her, despite the normalcy.  peeling back the adhesive on the back of the band - aid, she places it on the bulb of his elbow, gently pushing it into place with her index finger.    ❛  um .. does that feel right ??  can you move your elbow around ??  ❜   she urges herself to finally look up to him, cheeks tinged pink.
