I absolutely love my daughter - I do - but it is equally terrifying that I have apparently raised a mini-me. That little girl has a strategic mind that would make Athena herself proud. I hid her birthday presents as best - and as high - as I could and have it still be safe, and this little girl created a damn obstacle course just to get to them. I'm seriously considering banning her from watching any more American Ninja Warrior. That's where she's getting her ideas from, I swear.

Is it bad I kinda wanna see where this goes and only root her on? This sounds like almost freaky but cool levels of talent by the sound of it. But maybe the safer route would be putting her in a gymnastics class or something to get the energy out there so she’s too physically exhausted to act on her next set of ninja warrior-like thoughts.

One of my favorite age-old debates! I’m definitely a traditionalist and want a good outcome, but I’m also the kinda pop fanatic that pretty much ate up the Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett songwriting clash. Neither of them came out any worser than the other, it’s honestly impressive.

That sounds amazing, like legitimately. Who wouldn’t want Ms. Frizzle as their teacher? Ah, yes. Older ladies really do know how to brown-nose like they don’t have their own stuff to figure out. They just love staring at people like us because we’re too fun for them and they’ve forgotten how to relax, be true to themselves. I could but it’d unfortunately be without my agency’s backing which makes promotion and stuff a lot harder. I’d like to think I’m a good singer but I’m not exactly easy to market.

I loved the Princess Switch movies, as cheesy as they might be. They’re just really cute, I can’t help but love them!
Right? The tradition itself provides for a fun story to tell those that don’t know! And we still do it at my dad’s place but I’ve had to stray from practicing it due to apartment management being so uptight on their aesthetic, it’s so dumb. Exactly! The third one was such a nothing burger plot-wise, yet I was completely pulled in for the hour and a half ride.

It’s a day late and a penny short, or however that saying goes, but HAPPY NEW YEAR! I can’t believe that I still have one whole week until school starts back up and I get to have fun with all these new lesson plans I came up with during the holiday break! Which, of course, how can you not have fun while teaching kindergarteners, am I right? Did anyone make any fun, New Year’s resolutions? Tell me all about them! I’m totally not running on a sugar high right now.
Happy new year, dude! I feel like second grade kids and younger are a great age range to teach from the few times I’ve come in as a guest; they adore and respect you like you’re their sun and stars, and they can say the most weirdly profound things. My resolution’s been the same the past couple years, but I’m still determined to market my EP to a record label. Someday, someone will think it’s cool enough to publish! Here’s to dreaming.

I’m so not ready to say goodbye to the holidays, and not just because I found the cutest gnome decorations this year and I don’t want to put them away yet. Although I won’t lie, they are a big part of why, but really, I just think we could use some Christmas cheer all year long! So I don’t know about you, but I’m going to be keeping the holiday spirit alive a little bit longer by watching more Christmas movies. Can someone just help me decide between Love Hard and Knight Before Christmas?
See, this is why I love Three Kings’ Day, at least where I’m from. Part of the tradition’s that we don’t take down the decorations until at least two weeks after Christmas to account for them being so late to the Nativity party! Allows you to enjoy them for a bit longer. Also my vote’s for Knight Before Christmas, but I’m also just a sucker for anything part of Vanessa Hudgens’s growing Christmas movie universe.
