Or something along those lines. Its not required but it definitely helps me write the fic that you want!!<3

Do any of y’all remember that Eddie fic where he is a camp counsellor and all of the characters from the show either are kids attending camp or counsellors there?
Some of the counsellors there are- Robin, Steve, Billy, Chrissy, Nancy, Argyle, Jonathan etc.
I remember that he taught music in his cabin and offered to give reader lessons. Reader doesn’t want to date due to a recent break up but Eddie is yearning HARD.
Also, Hopper is in charge there and calls her a nickname from where she’s from (?)
I think the fic was older, possibly from 2023 or around there if I remember correctly.
I read it a couple months ago and it won’t leave my head :/
I think i followed the author but I can’t find their account for the life of me.
unfollowing everyone on every single platform who’s praising that mf and asking for sympathy. i don’t feel any sort of sympathy for demons, hope it helps 💘
I just saw your post about Rosita and I have never typed so fast lmao werid request can you do a one shot based of this tik tok edit? I think it says it all lol

Masterlist
You had never been more worn out than you were in this moment, the dead had been coming against Alexandria's walls in clusters, violently slamming against the tough forefront providing their safe haven with the safety they depended on.
They hadn't let up in days, the aftershock of the large Alexandria herd had been heavy and deadly for some. The herd broke down the high walls, claiming the lives of dozens of residents— including the Anderson family. Jessie was somebody that you had bonded with, she may have been a few years older than you but you would be a liar to say that you two didn't have anything in common.
You had both been stuck in the clutches of family who weighed you down with fists, never being able to stand tall in fear of getting pushed down to your knees. It had been you with your father and her with her husband.
You were luckier though, you had a brother who would take punches for you while Jessie had to be the one to take punches for her children.
Jessie was a mother you wished you had but she would never be. She died with her two children, finally free from her husband's wrath.
Rick Grimes was one of the most constant things in your life, at least since the fall of the world that is. He had saved your life after he handcuffed your older brother to a rooftop, leaving him to die in Atlanta, infested with the dead.
You hated him for a while before you didn't, you understood and you always seemed to when it came to the man. He was stranger and then he was family, more of an older brother to you than your eldest was.
So, it wasn't a shock to you when he assigned you to work in the infirmary once he caught wind of how many hours you were putting in on fence duty, raising your kill count by the hundred. He wordlessly took your weapon from your hand and nodded to the infirmary building. You were too tired to argue, knowing that you had done enough.
Nursing exhausted fighters back to health was laborious but not nearly as physically straining- you took that as a win as you shuffled around the once booming building that was now slowly winding down as people left to get some shuteye before another wave of undead struck the community.
A heavy sigh left your lips as you carried a heavy bin of used supplies over to a table top, gauging how much of it can be salvaged to reuse and at later date- medical supplies was the most important thing needed to survive in the fallen world, anything that could be saved would have to be.
Your hands were quick as they ruffled through dried, blood soaked cloths, throwing the unconventional ones away and throwing the cleanest ones in the large dipped sink in front of you to be washed and throughly cleansed later.
"Hey, stranger." Rosita's voice echoed from somewhere behind you. You jumped at the sudden noise, having been so wrapped up in your own head that you hadn't even heard her approaching presence looming some odd feet away from you. You turned around quickly, seeing her stood in the doorway of the buildings front door. The door was broken from the herd of undead, yet to be fixed by the communities makeshift construction crew.
"Oh, hey." You smiled through the deep pain illuminating through your chest at the sudden scare, you had been on edge ever since the herd had first made it to the walls, it was only amplified when they broke through the threshold. "You okay?" You asked in concern as you remembered that this was the medical house after all- plus, she was meant to be clearing out the stragglers by the back gate.
"Yeah, fine." She smiled slightly, watching you in your element. She may have had some medic training, but you always seemed to be the best in the group- other than an old man named Hershel she had heard so much about. Maggie's father and the man who taught you how to save lives. "Just think I twisted my ankle." She looked down at her leg, cringing slightly as she held her hand onto the doorway, not wanting to put too much weight on her injury.
"Oh, shit- take a seat." You motioned for her to sit on one of the makeshift hospital beds as you pulled your hands out of the bin and quickly moved over to her without a second thought.
"It's not that bad." She downplayed her pain as she plopped down on the soft cushioned cot, pushing her lips together as sheering agony pulled at her ankle.
"I think I'll be the judge of that." You raised your brows, kneeling down in front of her to get closer to her point of injury.
"Oh, right, you're the doctor here." Rosita rolled her eyes dramatically as she dipped her head down slightly, watching the back of your head as you pulled her sock off.
"Yes, I am." You shot back, a hint of a smile on your face that you were glad she couldn't see.
"Benny okay?" She asked, referring to the kind man she normally served watch duty with- the same man that had spent half the day in the infirmary.
You nodded before realizing she couldn't see your movement at the angle, causing you to mentally kick yourself for your tiredness. "Yeah, the wound should heal up soon." You assured, placing her sock on the ground beside her dangling foot.
"What even happened? Aaron said that another walker got through the fence when they were fixing it." Rosita pried, her accent peaking through slightly as she spoke. Her perfectly arched brow raising in question.
"Yeah, a couple." You looked up, holding eye contact for second- knowing that too long would mean far too much. "Apparently Ted freaked out and tried to kill one and accidentally nicked Benny's arm." You explained, taking soft hold of her foot for further inspection.
Rosita took a second to process the words that came out of your mouth before speaking again, another question being asked into orbit. "It went through the walker?" She asked, worried by the potential prospect of losing a friend she thought highly of.
"Yeah, it was pretty deep too." You exposed, your heart feeling heavy from the earlier scare.
"Is he sick?" She asked, an edge to her tone.
You ignored her question, squinting your eyes to get a more focused look at the already swelling bump that lingered right beside her ankle— seeming even bigger than the bone it was putting pressure on. "This is already swollen." You spoke out, your focus stolen away.
Rosita didn't take lightly to the issue, "Y/N, is he sick?" She asked with a higher pitched tone, desperately seeking an answer to her inquiry.
You sighed deeply, gently placing her foot back on the cool floor, placing both of your heavy hands on her thighs, glancing up at the woman. "No, I flushed it out with saline and bandaged it up. He wasn't showing any symptoms, he should pull through." You put her nerves at ease, but the weight of the groundbreaking information lied deep within.
"That's good." She let out a sigh of relief, smiling at the confirmation.
"Yeah and your ankle isn't." You rolled your eyes over dramatically.
"It's bad?" She asked, less concerned and more questioning. It seemed to be a theme with her today.
"Well, it's not good." You vaguely explained but you knew your point hadn't flew over her head, she knew you were the more optimistic out of the two of them. You seemed to be down on your luck today but that was to be expected, it wasn't necessarily the day of smiles when everything seemed to be crumbling beneath the solace the community had taken refuge in.
"Broken?" She asked, hoping that she wouldn't get a yes in response. The swelling was already bad enough, she couldn't deal with whatever surgery would come after her injury.
"Sprained." You spoke your final verdict, not thinking that it was much of an upgrade in circumstance. An injury below the knee would bring unimaginable consequences if things turned from worse to pernicious, if not deadly.
She took a deep breath, nodding in acceptance. "Oh, that's not too bad." She said, stunning you for a second before you shook her head.
"It is too bad. This is a pretty sprained one." You said, standing to your feet.
"How long?" She asked, watching as you walked over to the supply drawer to grab what you needed to treat her.
"Four weeks, probably." You reveal, grabbing a roll of gauze to wrap her wound in, in order to keep the excruciating inflammation at bay until it could find the strength to heal on its on volition.
"Are you sure or are you just guessing?" She accused, knowing that your intent to keep her safe sometimes came from the place of a little white lie, she didn't hold it against you— how could she? She would be a liar if she stated that she didn't find the whole thing incredibly cute. It shocked her sometimes, if anyone else were to pull the stunts that you did- they wouldn't be man enough to tell the tale.
She liked that about herself, her robustness in whatever form that it chose to showcase in the moment. She could physically handle herself like no other, yet it didn't take her emotional lash away in any capacity. It drew people in and she knew it was what attracted you to her. She also knew that you liked when she yelled at you a little too much- but it hurt her to do so, as of late.
It was confusing the first time she realized it happened, her heart clenched so tightly in her chest at the sight of your downcast face, that she was sure she was having a heart attack. You made her sit down as you examined her for any signs of injury, clearing her for duty after coming up with nothing.
It stayed with her though, and she doubted it would ever leave.
You turned back to send a dirty look her way, holding back an eye roll at her dismissal of your knowledge. "I'm estimating, I know you- it would heal in two to three for anyone else but for you? You won't stay off your feet unless I tied you to your bed." You speak as you slowly walk over to her, freezing for a second at the double meaning to your words— kicking yourself as you knew how the flirty woman would take it.
She always had a knack for embarrassing you at the hands of your own poor word choice. Something you hated about yourself; being unable to control your large mouth.
"Do you think about that often?" She asked, flirtation laced throughout her tone as she looked you up and down as if imagining the act herself, something that made a soft hue paint your cheeks.
"Shut up." You shot back, shaking your head in an attempt to mask the affect her words had given you.
"I'm kidding!" She was quick to defend, laughing softly at the sight of your expression- her laugh reeked of seduction and pride, happy she had sparked such a diverse reaction out of you.
Your smile died down quickly, your face back to normal as your flattered joy left just as the dismissive words met your ears. Of course she was joking, it was Rosita after all. She didn't like you like you liked her and you knew it- you always have. It was something that wouldn't change.
Rosita Espinosa was the epitome of a girl with everlasting options. Bachelor's weren't new to her, throwing themselves at her like women were going out of style and in their defence, they were but that didn't make the woman lacklustre, quite the opposite really. She was everything someone could want and more— at least that's what you thought.
"Yeah...I know." You said in a somewhat solemn tone, something you tried to mask to avoid the woman prying into business that you didn't want her to know about. She couldn't.
The woman didn't seem to believe your answer, watching you with curious eyes in hopes of catching your true expression, her smile dropping. "What's the matter?" She asked, worry clear in her voice.
"Nothing." You shook your head, forcing a smile as you looked up at her- kneeling back down to your place in front of her. "Swear." You swore as you noticed her staring at you, still seeking a genuine response. "I'm just going wrap it. Keep it iced as much as possible." You instructed the woman on the adequate care for her impairment.
Rosita watched her, not believing her words in the slightest but she knew that if you wanted to talk about it, you would have without a second thought, you trusted her. "I can do that." She nodded.
"Is it still bad out there?" You asked, referring to the intake of walkers that never seemed to stop rolling in on their path to destroy the community as a whole. You hoped that the reign of terror had seized but you knew that it was unlikely.
"It's slowing down. Daryl's tracking it with Abe, trying to steer it off track. Your brother doesn't quit." She commented, not flinching at the mention of her ex-boyfriend being in the middle of a potential life and death situation that could cost more than it could pay. She had moved on from the distant memory of the love she had for the man who had thrown her heart onto the ground and stomped on it, like she meant nothing.
"No, he does not." You laughed lightly, agreeing with the woman's words when it came to your persistent brother who couldn't accept normalcy to save his life— always wanting to play with, said life, like it was a risky game of poker. A smile pulling at yours at the mention of your only surviving family member.
Rosita smiled at yours, liking the way it fit your face like it was hand picked to fit every one of your facial features. "Must be that Dixon blood." She joked, knowing how much you were alike in most ways.
"It must be." You nod slowly, wrapping the fabric against her swollen skin, leaving it tight to avoid excess moisture but not tight enough to do more harm than good.
"You two never stop, it's like seeing thing one and thing two fighting for the 'relentless' title." She played more into her humorous side, knowing that she loved both the Dixon's in different ways. The man had saved her life more times than she could count, he was a good ally, someone that the group needed in order to survive.
And you...you were a whole other story.
You looked up at her, pouting your lips out in offence- something that her eyes fell onto like she had jumped off a cliff and landed on the harsh ground in a matter of seconds. "I win that every time." You bragged, knowing that the battle would last til the end of time- both too stubborn to claim defeat.
"Hell yeah, you do." Rosita equipped proudly, a smirk on her face as she nodded- agreeing with your bragging words. "I don't bet on losers." She nudged, her hand landed softly on your shoulder as she shoved you.
You continued your movements, the voice in the back of your head not allowing you to look passed her words. "You would bet on me?" You asked, your voice short as if not ready to believe the answer.
Rosita furrowed her brows, confused as to why the answer wasn't obvious to begin with. "Of course I would. I always do." She spoke truthfully, her words as genuine as they came.
You took a second to process her words, a small smile coating on your lips. "Good to know." You nodded once, lifting her foot a little higher to get a better angle.
"I would say so...how's things with Marisa?" The woman voiced the forbidden name, causing you to scoff at her words. "What does that mean?" She asked in confusion, a hint of hope hung in the undertones of her words- silently hoping that there was trouble in paradise.
Marisa was one of the first people you had met when you and your group had made it to Alexandria. Rosita, Abraham and Eugene were still new to your group whom considered one another family. Their time may have been short when amongst the array of people who had been together since the first couple months of the outbreak, but they were apart of that family too.
The four weeks that they had been on the road after the cannibal feast that partook in a place that broadcasted freedom, only to strip their victims of it before giving them a fate worse than death; had bounded the group together, making sure that not one member felt left out of the clan of survivors— a large family that looked out for every member individually. The unspoken acceptance that dying for a member of the group was a possibility when the line between life and death was tested.
Marisa had brought a large bin of supplies the day you had moved in, making a show of continuously dropping by in order to volunteer herself to show you around. Something that you declined up until you didn't, agreeing to go with her had almost singlehandedly sealed your fate.
Marisa Davis wasn't someone who gave up easily but she didn't have to, she had gotten you in the end. You two were going strong in a six month relationship that left Rosita feeling sick to her stomach every time she saw you two together. Envy wasn't something that she was foreign to but the way she was experiencing it; was.
She had always felt jealous of women inserting themselves into her relationships to grip the attention of her significant other— but you weren't one of her partners. You were her friend who was finally adjusting to prevalence in the arms of another. It wasn't only your lack of title that threw her off, it was the jealousy she felt toward Marisa.
When it came to seduction attempts on her partners- she was more red with anger than green but with Marisa? She wanted to be her while not understanding why she was so special to you without doing anything to deserve your affection. It confused her so badly that it gave her whiplash, she felt so much that she was shocked her face didn't turn neon green with envy.
"It's whatever." You shook your head, thinking that you had narrowly avoided commenting on your odd reaction.
"Whatever? Don't tell me I have to fight her." She sassed, her tone switching to one of anger at the possibility that the woman had done something to you. Her accent curling at the end of her words like it always seemed to do when she was pent up.
You shook your head, not wanting to speak about the matter, especially not with her."No...no you don't." You looked up at her, your eyes speaking the thousand words that you couldn't allow your mouth to. The raise of your chin could only mean one thing—It meant that it was over between you two.
The Espinosa pondered your words for a moment, pushing out her lips as she nodded her head up and down. "Good to know." Her tone didn't hold an undertone this time, her tone firm and undeceiving. The unmistakeable tone was a one of flirtation, her eyes showing a glint they always seemed to when she heard what she wanted to hear.
You ripped off the excess bandage and tucked it onto the thinnest section, looking up to meet her pleased expression. You didn't know how to take her bright eyes and flirtatious tone, so, you didn't- ignoring it like any other hardships in your life. "...done." You simply said, quickly pulling yourself to stand.
"Sit with me?" She asked, looking up through hooded eyes, explaining her faux reasoning once she saw your confused face. "My foot hurts too much to move." She complained, knowing that her comfort was your main priority- even more than your own, it seemed.
"Is it too tight?" You asked, changing the topic back to her sprain.
"No, it's just right. Just sit with me." Rosita reassured as she patted the free space beside her, her hand making an impression against the thin cot that only provided just enough bedding to not feel the metal rails beneath your body.
You sighed gently, trying to act as though you weren't internally freaking out about her offer. "Sitting." You spoke, choosing mordant ways to conceal everything you were feeling and more.
The woman laughed softly at that, nodding in acknowledgment. "I can see that. I miss you— I feel like I haven't seen you in forever let alone actually sat down with you. Been pretty busy, huh?" She nudged your shoulders together, a smile pulling at her cheeks as she watched your side profile.
"Yeah, you could say that. Life has been...life." You shrug, not lying about the complicated life that you were thrusted into.
"You could say it y'know." Rosita spoke suddenly, watching as you turned to her in question- having no idea what she was now getting at. It was a common theme with the woman, she wasn't a huge fan elaborating. "That you miss me too." She spelled it out for you, smirking as she waited for an answer she already knew the response to.
You nodded at that, looking over at her intensely as you answered. "I did, I missed you." You revealed, dropping your irises from her brown eyes to her pink lips. They were on the larger side, but they fit her face like they were meant to be there. The colour was slightly more diluted compared to usual from her lack of hydration the past few days.
They were arched up in the corners as though she knew that you were watching her, and she did. She always seemed to know, it was like she had a sixth sense for those kinds of things.
You looked back up at her amused eyes, the ones that watched you with an aura of deep care. "Do you wanna kiss me?" She asked, her voice sensual.
You widened your eyes in shock, dropping them back to her lips on instinct, following her words subconsciously without meaning to. The woman was known to be forward, it was practically her middle name but somehow it still had an effect on you after the half a year you two had known each other.
She seemed to grin before leaning a barely noticeable distance forward. "Come on, kiss me." She spoke softly but it was a demand, the questioning glint long gone. The way her eyes flickered down to yours seemed to show how desperately she had wanted you to act.
You bit your lip before leaning over in a flash, slamming your lips together with a fierce tangle filled with intensity, the longing for the moment seeming to catch up with you at the sensation of the thing you had dreamed about since you had seen her held in the arms of the ginger man you call a friend.
Her lips were slightly cracked but they felt like heaven, warm clouds of pleasure providing you with the best kiss you had ever had. You had imagined it a million times- even when you didn't want to. When you were devoted to a girlfriend who only seemed to consider you a place holder in her perfect life. An anchor of experimental acts to try before the world met its end.
Your lips moved slowly, trying to get used to the desirable act in hopes of not coming on to strong. Rosita didn't seem to mind it, moving her head up and down as she used more momentum.
You pulled away, pushing back against her to peck her lips once more. A breath leaving your lips as you parted from her grasp. "That wasn't so bad, was it?" You asked. You were confident in yourself and in your talents but something about the girl made you want to be the best at your craft- knowing that she deserved it.
She smiled softly, a breathy sigh bursting from her lungs as smile lines grew on her face. "It could've been better." She cheekily responded, hoping that a surge of confidence would push through you. And it did, your ego was much too big sometimes.
"Guess we'll have to try again." Your words were nearly cut off by Rosita pressing her lips against yours before you got the chance to. The pillows moved in sync against each other, warmth pulsating between the two of you as the kiss picked up the passion.
Rosita pulled back ever so slightly, her lips hovering over yours."Warmer..." She whispered, her words causing a chill to run down your spine as you clashed them together again, your tongue running against her lips to be accepted for entrance. The woman's hands landing on your cheeks as yours found home on the back of her head.
Her dark tousles gripping to your fingers like a vice, keeping them tangled in tightly as if they didn't want you to escape— not just easily, but at all. Rosita pulled back before granting you the access you so desperately sought out, pleased with your exuberant importune.
"Warmer..." She giggled, loving how hot and bothered she was getting you by a simple make out session- but she couldn't deny that her chest was feeling as though it could explode at any second.
Her lips moved back on yours like they were magnates against a chilled refrigerator, her mouth opening in allowance. Her tongue clashing against your own in a battle royal to see who would come out on top, regardless of the stakes they provided. It wasn't just fun, it was a challenge- one that had your heart thumping out more blood than your body could process at one time.
Her warm mouth was one that would no doubt save lives at the hands of frost bite. She was perfect in every aspect of life and when her tongue pinned yours down in a gruelling take down, it assured you of your assumption.
Oh, how you wished you had done so sooner.
"That's it..." She pulled her tongue out to speak, gazing at you with a look of admiration. She didn't protest when you pulled your lips together again, not once when you sucked her bottom lip swollen and you didn't seem to either when her good leg moved to straddle your lap- making sure to keep her pained ankle alleviated.
The day may have been gloomy as the dead attacked— but you had found a solace in the person you had been pinning over since the first moment you had seen her. In a world of danger, you had found a shield of safety.

"Wow...I can't believe you did all of this..." you said as you admired the beautifully set table in front of you. It was littered with plucked red roses and lit-up orange candles. It was perfect- well at least nearly perfect. As much as you appreciated the gesture, you couldn't help but be saddened that the only flower on the table was the one you couldn't stand.
You felt as though they were overused and cliche, but it wasn't necessarily the flowers that downed your mood but the mere fact that you had told him countless times how much you loathed them and yet, once again he had stuffed them in your face.
It was as though he never heard a single word that came out of your mouth. It was okay, you supposed as at least he put the effort in, in the first place.
"Of course, I would, baby. It's our three year, I would be stupid if I didn't." Rafe stated with a small smile, that was all he was willing to offer after the events of his father's death. You could tell it was weighing him down but you couldn't do more than you already were.
You were skipping your classes, sleeping over every night, had arranged the funeral with him and been by his side every step of the way. You were exhausted but you knew he was going through the worst time of his life and was going through worse than you. That's what you kept telling yourself, that he needed comfort more than you did. That had calmed you down for the time being but it had been months and you knew that you were gonna snap one day soon, leading you to truly hope that it was when Rafe was in a good headspace but with the way life was going, you didn't know when that would be.
"Well, the stupid part is kind of debatable." You shrugged as you stabbed a piece of carrot with your fork.
"Hey!" Rafe laughed softly as he kicked your leg under the table, his hand reaching for his glass of scotch.
"I mean it though... thank you for doing all of this."
You said as you looked at him, your eyes full of love for the man you thought you were going to spend the rest of your life with. He simply nods as he pours himself another drink, but you can tell from the light coat of pink on his cheeks that he is blushing. "I love you." You finished as you reached your hand over to hold the one that had a grasp on the bottle while he was still pouring a flood of alcohol into his glass. The action stopped him in his tracks as you lowered his hand and he let go of the half-full bottle.
"I love you too, baby." He muttered the phrase as he looked into your eyes causing yours to water as you pulled away to fix the napkin on your lap and then began to eat the slightly burnt food your boyfriend had prepared.
-Six days later-
From: Sister-in-law✨
Hey
Sent 4:34 pm
It's Sarah. I changed my number a few weeks ago I'm not sure if you have it or not.
Sent 4:34 pm
I just wanted to let you know that I broke into Tannyhill like an hour ago to get a few of my things and heard a girl in Rafe's room.
Sent 4:36 pm
It didn't sound like you and if I'm wrong then I'm sorry but I don't think I am.
Sent 4:37 pm
You stared at the messages in front of you as your eyes continued to read over them just like they had for the last five minutes. You couldn't seem to tear them away.
You had known Sarah for the last three years, even before she went all pogue and left the only life she had ever known. And though you were confused about why she did at first- when Ward's toxic actions had come to light, you had driven your overly priced car over to the shack John B called home and simply hugged the girl. She had cried in your arms because she knew that even though you loved her brother, you had believed her and loved her too.
Even when you had sat on the kook side of the courthouse the day John B was arrested, your sympathetic gaze was enough to let her know that you weren't sure what to do and chose to stick by the only life you had ever known, and she couldn't fault you for that. She would have done the same if it was just another Pogue, but it wasn't. It was the man she loved and she knew that you loved Rafe and needed to do what was right for your relationship.
You had called her later that night to give her any information that you might have known about what Rafe and Ward were planning which ultimately led to John B getting out... she would never forget what you did.
You were her sister more than Rafe was her brother and that wasn't going to change just because you were doing what it took to keep the man you loved safe, just like she was.
A tear dropped from your eye and landed on the blue messages causing some of the words to blur as you hastily pulled yourself out of your bedroom and ran to your car.
You couldn't even remember the ride over as you hurried up the stairs of Tannyhill. You did know one thing though, Sarah wouldn't have lied to you and even when you hoped Rafe hadn’t lied to you earlier that morning when he assured you that you could head back to your family home- It made sense to you. He sent you home so he could finally get alone time with his side piece.
You whipped his door open and simply nodded to yourself when your boyfriend quickly pulled away from the blue-eyed redhead to meet your eyes before quickly rolling off the bed and pulling on his shorts when he finally processed who was standing in the doorway. You ran down the stairs of the biggest home on the island and the place that you had called your second home for the last three years.
You could hear the sound of the girl calling for him and the sound of him practically flying down the stairs behind you in hopes of catching you before you made it to your car and the probability of you running him over became more likely than you hearing him out.
He was faster than you thought as his large hand wrapped around your forearm, stopping you in your tracks. You whip around with your hand raised as you prepare to smack him across the face but he catches your arm with his other hand before he harshly shoves you backward. Tears run down your cheeks as you head down his too-long driveway and it certainly doesn't help that you decided to park right at the gate and run to his home.
"Baby, just stop-" He started his voice thick as he ran after you, but he was cut off before he could speak further.
"Don't call me that! You can't just baby me and I'll somehow find it in myself to forgive you. It's not happening. Have a nice life with Merida." You shot back, your tone quickly turned from heartbroken to mocking as the second stage of grief took over.
"Look... after my dad, I just..." He bowed his head after he had finally found an excuse you may actually fall for as all the kind actions you had done for him after his father died flashed through his mind, a chill ran through him as guilt began to run through him as the extent of his choices had begun to settle in. He chose getting in the pants of a random girl over his girlfriend who had stood by him after all the bad he had done. A part of him hoped that you would do that this time- bend your morals to keep him by your side.
"Jesus Christ! Don't you dare use his death as an excuse!" You shutter out a breath as you refuse to fall for his guilt-tripping. You knew that you act crazy when experiencing grief, you had experienced it yourself when you had lost your mother a few years back. You went through the stages of grief alone as your father travelled in hopes of returning and being a better father to you but instead of him becoming a better father, his running off completely ruined your relationship. You were all alone for months with no one by your side, until you met Rafe six months after the death of your mother. And though he didn't help you through it directly, his presence had filled some of the hole in your heart and had given you something else to focus on.
You had been through the loss of your mother who died of stomach cancer, the loss of your cousin who was murdered and the loss of your younger sister who had perished in a car accident when you were twelve. You had known more about loss than anyone you had been close with and knew firsthand how grief could affect you- especially when you lose a parent- but Rafe had, had your support and love through it all. You had been by his side through it all even though he and his dad weren't close, even though your boyfriend had hired a hitman on his own father only to cheat on his girlfriend and blame it on his father when he had been dead for four and a half months.
"Look," You continued as you brought your weakened arms up to your hips as you scrutinized him dead in his eye. "I'm sorry about your dad. I really am- but newsflash the guys dead! And he has been for months- and for months, I've been bending over backwards to help you get through it just for you... to prove to me that I made a mistake. That I wasted not just months of my life helping you but years of my life loving you." You saw the range of emotions that flashed over his face as he attempted to process your words. It started with tears at the mention of his father, but his sadness flashed to anger as you began to mention all you had done for him and looked as though he was about to interrupt you but you just kept going, until it flashed to something darker.
"I told you when we started out that I had three deal breakers. Disrespect of any kind, lying and cheating- and so far you've managed to cross them all off, didn't you? Should I start yelling bingo?" You let out an angry laugh that resembles a heartbroken one as you turn around and head to your car.
"If you take one more step, I will make sure you regret it." His words came out like they were natural like you were one of the people he despised most. As if you hadn’t been the most important person to him for the last three years. It was jarring how different his voice was when he wasn’t telling you he loved you.
You stop in your tracks as a chill runs down your spine, there is something in his tone... an edge it has that sends a warning through you. You know what he's done and what he's capable of. And as much as it hurt you to think this, you could count every time he had ever scared on one hand but right now, this wasn't just fear creeping through you- it was terror.
He didn't have anything to lose anymore. His mother had been gone since he was thirteen, Sarah had chosen her true family over her blood family, Rose had taken Wheezie just days after Ward's body was found and had run for the hills without even taking a second thought about the grief her stepchildren were going through while holding on to the remaining gold and lastly, the one person he loved more than this his siblings and more than you- his father- was gone and he was never coming back.
He was no longer enrolled in college anymore and even if he was, he never went to his classes and definitely wouldn't now. He didn't have a job other than his half-assed company he was so hellbent on making. A large part of you felt sorry for him; he was going through a lot and didn't have anyone by his side, but an even larger part of you felt more bad for yourself. You loved him blindly, stuck with him after he took someone's life, stayed with him after he tried to kill his sister twice, stayed with him through his cocaine addiction, stayed with him after the death of his father and after his youngest sister was taken from him. You would have willingly been his home had he not shown you time and time again that he would stray for something else that caught his attention. First it it was the coke, then the gold, then his father's approval and now some random girl. You would have been crazed to even consider staying with him this time and to be frank, it didn't even cross your mind.
"Is that a threat, Rafe? You gonna kill me like you killed Peterkin?" You asked sharply.
"Nah...you'll just have to wait and see. You're gonna regret ever leaving his driveway." A small, creepy smile spread across his face and it was that damn smile that showed you that you were right to be done with him. He had finally lost it.
"Yeah, I don't think I will. Nothing you do to me would be worse than staying with you." And with those words you took that one step, the one that would seal your fate as you took those final steps to your sleek car before you pulled yourself in and slammed the door. Through the windshield window, you could see Rafe still standing there with his arms crossed as if he was expecting you to hop out of your car and run to him but he was clearly mistaken as you shifted your car gear and stepped on the gas like your life depended on it and in your defence, you were as you hurtled out of Tannyhill without looking back.
And though it was reckless you pulled out your phone as you slowed down on the gas when you considered yourself a safe distance away from your crazed ex boyfriend. With your phone in your hand, you opened up Sarah's contact and your eyes locked on her earlier messages. The same messages that seemed to blow up your three-year relationship.
Hey

You could feel the hurt through the message. She loved her mom but she had never left her father even though he was a less-than-stellar husband. You had done what her mother didn't.
I'm ALWAYS here if you need to talk, no judgment.

Hearted 6:21 pm
The next day your life was flipped upside down after you received a call from Yale University to personally notify you that you had been expelled for unlawful drug use after Rafe had anonymously sent a video to your university of you doing coke for the first time two years ago after he had talked you into it and you hadn’t done it since as you didn't like how it made you feel. He even went as far as getting someone to plant a small amount of coke in your car resulting in you getting arrested in a ditch after being pulled over. After that, your father gave you an ultimatum. He speaks to Topper's grandfather who is a respected judge- and gets him to let you off the hook if you go to a rehab centre or you get charged for carrying drugs in your car and get up to a year in prison. And no matter how much you tried to convince him that you didn't do cocaine and that it was only that one time, he didn't even want to hear you out.
And as much as you didn't want to go to rehab, you knew that it was better than prison.
Though you knew Rafe would want to get revenge on you for breaking it off with him, you never would have expected him to partake in such a deliberate and evil takedown for experiencing the consequences of his selfish actions. It was insane to think that you had spent years of your life with a man who you thought would do anything for you, he had looked at you like you hung the moon and the stars yet he had disrespected you and humiliated you beyond belief for some random girl? You had never seen her before so you could only assume she was a Pogue which you highly doubted from the way he spoke about lower-class people, so that could only mean that she was a tourist. He had thrown your whole relationship away for some girl who was gonna leave a few days later but he felt the need to single-handedly ruin your life for having a problem with it?
You had kicked yourself every day you spent in the hellhole that was rehab, the doctors looked down upon you like you were the bane of their existence, it was exhausting constantly being judged for being an addict when you weren't even one, to begin with. Hell, the place made you want to do drugs. You couldn't quite understand why a place that was supposed to help you overcome addiction would do so little good with the amount of money that goes into funding them.
Your stay at the rehab centre was only two months but it took you seven months to return to OBX as you were sent to go live with your aunt, Mae, in New York. And in those five months, you stewed as you put a plan into action to wreak havoc upon the man who ruined your life.
Now, eight months after the fall of the most talked about couple on the island- you were sitting in the country club sipping a pina colada that a pretty bartender made while wearing a beautiful floral dress.
The booming sound of your ex-boyfriend's laugh brought you out of your head as you slowly turned your neck to look over at the approaching man, and thankfully he was by the other side of the bar which caused a smile to curl up your lips slightly as your plan seemed to set into motion, however- your smile dropped as he leaned down to kiss the pretty bartender who made your drink just a few minutes prior shocking you to your core.
You had heard from Sarah that Rafe was dating some poor girl from the cut but you hadn't expected it to be the girl you had just made small talk with a few minutes ago, and you certainly hadn't expected her to be...her.
From your conversation, you could tell that she was a very sweet girl who was just trying to change the financial situation that she had been born into and you admired that deeply. In said conversation, you had learned that she was twenty-two making you two the same age and that she was born in Mexico City but moved to the cut when she was very young.
You also couldn't ignore the fact that she was beautiful and if you were going to be serious, you were pretty jealous and not because Rafe had moved on- but because he was dating one of the most beautiful girls you had ever seen while you were tucked away in a facility or stuck in the presence of your annoying cousins.
You tuck a piece of hair behind your ear as you listen to their conversation.
"Hey, baby." He used to call me that. "I missed you this morning." So their sleeping over? You picked apart every word of their conversation, you couldn't even help yourself.
"I know," she laughed, "I'm sorry, again. I had to cover Gaby's shift."
"Yeah, yeah whatever you say." He laughed causing her to grin before she slapped his chest. "I gotta go, Toppers waiting. I just wanted to say hi and put our drinks in. I'll take-" He began to list what he wanted before the shorter girl shook her head as if she had already memorized his order, and she had.
"I know... Topper want the usual?" She asked as she began to tap on the device behind the bar to type in his drink order.
"Yeah, thanks." She nods in response, her eyes fixated on the task at hand. "Love you." He smiles as he backs away, his eyes still focused on his girlfriend.
He used to say that to me all the time, you thought.
Those words grab her attention as she looks up with a smile so wide you guessed that it hurt but it suited her quite nicely. "Love you." After that; he turned away and headed to his table and Sofia turned back to the monitor in front of her. Then, as if she sensed your eyes on her she pulled hers away from the screen and looked over at you. She smiled at you and if it wasn't so sweet you would have guessed that she was rubbing it in your face.
"Would you like another?" She asked as she pointed to your nearly empty drink, you nodded gently and she turned around to work on your drink, deciding that her boyfriends and his best friends could wait.
A wide smile fills the space of the small one that had covered your face just a minute ago as you mentally changed your whole plan of taking Rafe down for a crime he didn't commit after deciding that you had a better one in mind. One that he wouldn't never see coming and it all involved your ex-boyfriend's new girl and man- it was going to feel good.
