Amazing view before the open cinema started last Sunday. Made me miss pre-pandemic times and I just wish for really, really better times ahead for everyone. 💖🌞
Last night before I went to bed, I decided to learn some Christian prayer formulas because I could feel the Spirit telling me that it’s about time for me to upgrade my conversations with God especially during the night because that’s when I get really honest, intimate, and vulnerable with my prayers.
I have been familiar with the ACTS (adoration, confession, thanksgiving, supplication) Prayer since I was 14. I discovered a few more after I researched about the basic ways of prayer, and with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, I have made a full version of the all the basic types of prayer in one method.
I prefer to be alone when I pray, where no one could see or hear me and where nothing can distract me. I also prefer sitting down instead of lying on my bed, so I would not lose my focus or start feeling drowsy. Before I start praying, I try to settle down my thoughts and quiet my heart. I let my soul feel God’s presence.
In my prayer, I summed it up in 6 steps: adoration, appreciation, confession, intercession, supplication, and declaration.
Adoration
— saying that God is almighty and powerful
— proclaiming Christ as the head over all
— praise Him with humility, sincerity, gladness, and awe
— exalt His name
Appreciation
— giving thanks to God for the past, present, and future blessings, grace, and promises
Confession
— admitting your sins and weaknesses
— humble yourself and ask Him to forgive you as you forgive yourself and others
Intercession
— pray for the people closest to you (family, friends, neighbors, relatives, churchmates, classmates, workmates)
— pray for those who give you direction (pastors, teachers, mentors, youth leaders, worship leaders)
— pray for the authorities and those who stand tall to save lives (government officials, police officers, doctors, nurses, firefighters, and frontliners especially during this season of crisis and pandemic)
— pray for the weak, the poor, the needy, the heartbroken, the hopeless
Supplication
— ask God for His heart for your present situation
— ask God for wisdom, discernment, and guidance through the Holy Spirit
— ask God for the blessing and provision to satisfy your needs
— ask for good health, safety, security, and spiritual growth
— ask God to judge and resist those things that hold back His blessings
— ask God for His defense against the works or plots of the enemy
— ask God to watch over you in your sleep
— ask God to send His angels to seal your house with His protection
Declaration
— proclaim the victory of Christ
— declare the works of the devil as crushed under the feet of Jesus
— ask all of these things in Jesus’ name
Lastly, have faith and believe in your heart that if we ask anything in His name, He will do it (John 14:14). 💛
So often are we obsessed with the idea of Jesus. We love the idea of him transforming us without taking steps to actually BE transformed by him. Did you read the Word today? Have you prayed today? For how long? What did he tell you? What did you learn? If we can’t answer these questions, we need to seriously evaluate our relationship with Christ and take steps to growing closer. Let’s keep each other accountable, because there’s nothing more important than this.

"If you tell me you love me Make sure you'll fight for me Be sure you're ready To be in the battle with me" Nice Moira!!! Thank you for reminding women that they are worth pursuing and worth fighting for. 😍
I saw all things the enemy has stolen from me. But my God is a God of restoration. And this is my hope.
Preach the gospel to your weary heart, daily. When in doubt, when in seasons of sorrow, and when you have nothing left! Speak the truth of God to the parts of your life that need to be resurrected, for when we shine a light the darkness must flee. Beloved, whatever stage of life we are at, we have but to whisper and the King will listen. Do you not know? He is always present, and our very heartbeat is a delight to Him.

It’s comforting to know that the things that shake us don’t ever shake Him.
You can quit replaying those moments in your head.
The past is done. Move forward. Have grace for yourself.

If you feel like you’ve walked too far away from God, you haven’t. Turn around. He’s been there the whole time saying, “Come Home.

Fulton Sheen, spot on! 💗 #inpursuitofthehighest
“When you start to feel like things should have been better this year, remember the mountains and valleys that got you here. They are not accidents and those same moments weren’t in vain. You are not the same. You have grown and you are growing. You are breathing. You are living. You are wrapped in endless, boundless, grace. And things WILL get better. There is more to you than yesterday.”
— Morgan Harper Nichols 🌱
Trust that God is working something in you now, something you can’t imagine, a miracle beyond proportion. Look beyond circumstances, long nights, broken trophies, mental arguments, the swirl of gossip, the false self-talk that you’ve rehearsed over and over. Leave yesterday where it belongs. Don’t cave in to what has happened to you. God says you are more than that – because you are His. As hard as it sounds: you are loved, you are treasured, you are written on the heart and mind of your Creator. Rejoice and revel in what He has done, is doing, will do.
