i still think s16 should be just like. recycled plots from s1 but like Different Enough to fool the gang but Obvious Enough to the audience... but the difference this time being they Do learn their lessons n where that takes them blahblahblah
@weirdgirlwambsgans carmen returns n instead of going back to the gang we actually just keep following her story and the rest of the season turns into carmen's own spin-off show from there
Season 1, Episode 1 vs Season 15, Episode 1
mac has a question
glenn in S13 blooper reel
dennis + whatever this means
i'm obsessed with dennis and frank's relationship like. they're so strange. i mean it's commonly accepted in fanon that dennis harbors all kinds of dark feelings and resentment towards frank but we see very little of that in actual canon. dennis will bring up frank being a horrible father (which is true) from time to time, but post-s2e10 they easily fall into a completely new dynamic.
dennis treats frank as of one the bros just as mac and charlie do, and he genuinely seems to enjoy teaming up with him (at least for the schemes where they're equals and frank isn't, you know, pimping him out). by contrast, dee and frank's relationship post-s2e10 is more or less the same as it was pre-s2e10.
old wounds only seem to re-emerge for dennis when the father-son context is directly discussed within the episode (e.g., s6e13, s12e10), but even then dennis is often able to brush past these tensions in service of a scheme they're working on together (e.g., s6e6, s15e7).
it really feels like frank and dennis have two separate relationships, one as father and son and one as friends/coworkers. things get weird between them whenever that boundary is broken and they're forced to remember what their failed father-son relationship looked like. they're both happier when they're able to keep the past from seeping into present.
Redraw of that one poster
"As a straight man, I actually love piña coladas. But I don't like getting caught in the rain, it flattens my hair. Yeah. And you guys know how great I look in leather."
The way Dennis's shoulders immediately relax when he sees Mac......
this episode brings me immeasurable joy
prophesying: this line will get a callback in s16
