My comfort characters are the friend group I like to refer to as Sunny Cappuccino that consists of Sugaya, Hayami, Mimura, Fuwa, Chiba, and Nakamura! Most of my posts center around them.

Our outfit of the day is rebellious Kanzaki Yukiko because I really LOVE her design 💜

This was intially meant to be just part of a general fashion sheet for Yukiko... but I ended up putting too much effort on the rendering for the clothes, so it had to be posted on its own since I'm not consistent with how I render my art 😅

SUNNY CAPPUCCINO : HIGH SCHOOL DAYS HEADCANONS

nakamura is the one who orchestrates the most trips for them to go on during weekends

group chat is completely dead during exam season

but other than that, it would usually be occupied by two or three people having a long-winded conversation about a miscellaneous topic instead of doing their work

mimura and sugaya always try to find the time to go on their art museum dates as much as possible

although nerve-wrecking, they find it exciting to talk about college and future plans with one another

all of them already know what they want to pursue and have a clear goal in mind and i just like to imagine them passionately raving about their plans :')

sugaya and hayami are study buddies

mimura, chiba, and fuwa take a similar route and the same bus to school, that drops them off at different stops

sometimes fuwa spends five minutes max studying for a test but still aces it anyway

hayami is an avid note-taker™️, super neat handwriting and beautiful annotations

^ she started developing study habits after getting a score lower than her expectations during her freshman year

sugaya is really well known in his school and gets along with everyone

Koki did not think that he could count on two hands anymore, how many pictures they had taken that day.

A trip to Kyoto had always been lingering in everyone's mind, but only continuously got pushed back as exams season flooded their schedule.

The contentment of their last visit was drowned out nearly entirely by the burdens that naturally came with assassination attempts. Now that summer allowed them the taste of the carefree breeze, they were going to cherish it.

This would truly be their vacation to enjoy.

"Mimura, Sugaya...!"

He turned at the sound of his name as Rio held up her camera. The taller boy put an arm around Koki's shoulder and flashed a smile. A moment captured so briefly, but he planned to keep it sealed within the folds of his album forever.

Rio pulled the camera down, smiling fondly at the picture through the viewfinder. But right after, she shifted her gaze up, scrunching her eyebrows.

"I just realized.. we haven't properly taken a group photo yet," she noted.

Despite the countless snapshots that flooded their gallery, there had not been a single group picture on their camera aside from their shaky attempt at taking a selfie.

Ryuunosuke tilted his head as if in thought, turning to observe the bustling crowds that scuttled around them. He walked over to a nearby tourist, gesturing to his friends while he spoke.

"Excuse me, can you take a picture of us?" He asked in English.

And so they gathered, arms linked and smiles blooming. The blue sky canopied the village, and the stone pathways littered with leaves astray. Most notably, the melodic wind chimes that swung inches above their heads. They dwindled into one scene, a coruscating picture that enveloped them.

Can I ask for some random Bakamura headcanons :⁠0

I know I said that they fight over things a lot, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they always have different opinions. In fact, it's the opposite. They are always on the same page that in the times that they don't, they will make sure that everybody and their moms know that they disagree with each other.

But because of that, both of them, most especially Nakamura, can be really hypocritical when they fight (or pick fights)... like how she tried to diss his preference for baggy clothing when she wears baggy clothes herself 😭

After the 3rd period, Chiba and Nakamura would always be seen climbing down the mountain together to buy their classmates the drinks they want from the vending machines stationed near the gates. Nobody wants to know why, but they are less likely to be approached by the main building students especially when they're together.

Because they are friends with everyone in class, they would always find themselves in the same friend group at the end of the day after jumping from one group to another.

Despite their strong disagreement when it comes to each other's music tastes, they're... a designated duo when they go to karaoke. Chiba literally would never hold the mic unless Nakamura says she wants to do a duet with him.

And it's always the love classics that they'd belt out to. So loud and dramatic, it somehow became really unserious.

The other option is Bon Jovi's You give love a bad name.

Korosensei had put them in separate project groups for a reason, after all. Cause when they work on a project together, Nakamura could sing out a single verse and Chiba would immediately follow. It's like an automatic response or something.

They're too loud sometimes when they do that, that it can be quite distracting for their other classmates, so Korosensei had to keep them separated (aka keep Nakamura separated from Chiba because she brings out the uncontrollable side of him).

Long phone calls at night are normal for them. Most of the time it's just Nakamura chatting out whatever was going on in her mind while Chiba tries his best to keep up because she always changes topic every minute. These calls last about 2-3 hours on average.

Chiba was the one who Nakamura kept in touch the most when she went abroad, since he always managed to make enough time to be readily available for calls despite his busy schedule.

Nakamura had likely introduced him to Jessica, who she was rooming with, in one of their video calls.

some sunny cappuccino thoughts

the process of how they became close friends just came naturally. they're mostly a group of social introverts with a few exceptions. but as a whole they enjoy finding time to spend for themselves, indulging in things that they find happiness in.

and i think that's what connected them in the first place. how i see it is that they became friends as a group a little into the school year considering they sit fairly near one another and have some common interests and friendships already set in stone. but do you know those kinds of friends that you feel yourself naturally gravitating towards? that's how i feel they were like. i picture that during lunch breaks, one by one, each person can just overhear a discussion and join in, without having to ask. comfortably.

another note on that though is that they all are artistic in some sense, it's no surprise that the way they view the world would be quite special and hence why they're always so open to listen, to discuss and broaden ideas. over like the most miscellaneous topics .

what started out as small exchanges they didn't think much of led to a habit where they would just come together and simply . talk. about anything. just that feeling of being at ease and carefree.

(note that i feel like hayami would be an exception to the "not feeling timid in their first interactions" but that is something that's due to her character and i might make a post on that too)

that's how they would become close, naturally, becoming friends before they even realized it.

this has just turned into a ramble that kinda doesn't makes sense i'm so sorry, but now i really want to make an actual cohesive short essay on this.

one of the reasons that i love him so much is due to how he is just so.. him. there is no other person like him and he will never be any other person no matter what. he prides the things he loves and holds his personal values close to him.

he knows his own limits. he knows of his skills, and he makes use of them. a lot of the times he just doesn't give a fuck about how others will perceive him. he doesn't care to conform to what society expects. he's leading his life the way that he wants.

the individualism is just something i admire so much, and i'm slowly learning to find my own happiness in that sense too.

i'd love to! group 4 are a joy. although i have to note that aside from okuda, i'm not the biggest expert on their characters, so i apologize in advance.

group 4 silly hcs and misc thoughts

they love buying matching socks with funky designs. i really have no explanation for this i just love the idea of them picking out the craziest ones together.

i think it's no surprise that they go to cafes and bakeries together a lot, but sometimes they'd visit the pricier ones to gaze upon the incredibly well made and beautiful sweets but never actually buys them.

but sometimes they do cave .

MISC THOUGHTS : i personally see group 4 as the most close knitted friend group aside from tgang within their class, at least within the duration of the series. there's just something about them that speaks of comfort and feeling like you belong, yk? i definitely can see that they would come to one another whenever they need anything.

So I wanted to come up with a group nickname to refer to the friend group that I absolutely adore, my favorite characters (mimura, sugaya, fuwa, hayami, chiba, nakamura) as well. Thank you so much to Noxxie and Bones for the inspiration!!

I'll be referring to them as sunny cappuccino (or the sunny cappuccinos) ☀️
