THEME.

i’m absolutely in love with your theme; it’s really easy to navigate and it’s simple without being bland or boring. the links are clearly labelled and easy to get to and i like all of the little extra sections you have on the side. the colors are also pretty simple and basic, but it goes really well with your theme and i like the pop of color with the blue. the only thing i would suggest is making the main text a shade or two darker, it kind of hurts my eyes if i look at it too long.

GRAPHICS.

your header graphic is really well edited and i like the psd and fonts you chose a lot. i also like the small blurb of what the roleplay is before you even get to reading the plot. your title graphics are really cute, as well. i like that you chose the blue as the font color, it really makes them stand out. 

PLOT. 

your plot is pretty short, but with the fact that it’s just a town rp, it’s understandable as to why. it’s definitely nothing different or unique, but i really like simple town rps, so i don’t personally see it as a negative thing. the town you created kind of reminds of stars hollow from gilmore girls (which is one of my favorite shows) because of its location and size, which makes me like it even more, honestly. 

MISCELLANEOUS.

i always appreciate when town rps include a page that kind of takes you around the town and helps you to visualize, especially when it’s a fictional setting, and yours is really well done. you got into a lot of detail, which is definitely nice to see. your rules are pretty straightforward and it seems like you have all of the essential ones. 

OVERALL.

i think this looks a very promising town rp with a lot of room for character development and i would definitely consider joining if i had the time. this is absolutely a rec from me and i wish you the best of luck going forward!

how do you roleplay when you can't separate real life from rp? because i feel like (and this goes for anyone not just you) if something IC is effecting you OOC then maybe rp isnt for you. i feel like being able to differentiate is something that is essential? bc characters do a lot that we personally would not do and i think thats what makes rp fun

no, i get that! i could have worded my answer a lot better, but basically, certain fcs just make me uncomfortable and i have a hard time roleplaying with them. i’m not saying i have trouble separating real life from rp with every single character because there would be no point in me roleplaying if that were the case. that was strictly regarding those who have done something i find problematic or offensive. a lot of roleplayers have those fcs that they’ve maybe had a bad experience with or they just don’t like for other reasons and i don’t see anything wrong with that. also, the fcs i’m uncomfortable playing with isn’t a very long list (and a few of them are usually banned anyways), so i don’t find it to be that big of a hindrance or anything.

thoughts on problematic fcs?

well, my definition of problematic may be different from someone else’s, but there’s definitely fcs i wouldn’t be comfortable roleplaying with because of things they’ve said or done.  i understand that someone is just using their face to play a character and the character may be the complete opposite of who that person is irl, but it’s kind of hard for me personally to separate the two, if that makes sense? like if i see someone using a faceclaim that has done something i find problematic, it more often than not turns me off from that particular character. i know some people don’t have a problem with it, i’m just not one of them!

so this has long been a dream venture of mine and finally i’m releasing a column theme to the wild ! i kinda went wild with the customization options; there’s a good amount of things to personalize including the header, background, sidebar and fonts. i’ve also added a network page in addition to the navigation tab so in terms of functionality it’s a very flexible all-in-one theme. this is my first try at something non-contained so there may be a few bugs here and there—if that’s the case, you know the drill: don’t hesitate to shoot me a message if you need any help installing it but please take a look at my faq first before doing so !

of course! sorry this has taken me so long to get up, by the way. 

THEME.

i’m not the biggest fan of your theme for a roleplay’s main page, it’s a little too plain for me personally. it is easy to navigate, however, and i like that it actually has a scrollbar, unlike a lot of other container themes. your color scheme is pretty simple as well, but i like that you have a pop of color. the color you chose for that isn’t my favorite, i’d suggest going with the gold or blue in your sidebar graphic instead.

GRAPHICS.

i actually really like your sidebar graphic; it looks clean and i love the style of it with it being mostly black and white and then having a few isolated colors. it also gives me an idea what your plot will be about, which is the point of graphics in the first place. i believe your background photo is supposed to be a castle, although some of it is blocked by your posts, so i can’t see the entire thing. 

PLOT.

it’s a small thing, but i’d suggest having a link to your plot on your links page since it’s one of the things people will want to look at first. moving onto your actual plot, it’s really well written and it really drew me in and made me want to read the entire thing. i believe i have seen similar plots before, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. i also appreciate that you gave information on all the kingdoms and what they’re like.

MISCELLANEOUS.

i love that each kingdom has its own separate page; extra information like that is always useful, especially in a roleplay with a plot such as yours. i also like that you’ve included suggested jobs and nobility ranks to give roleplayers some ideas for that section of the app. the last thing i’m going to comment on is your ooc page, just because i feel like it’s missing some pretty important details, such as members’ pronouns. i’d also suggest asking what everyone’s triggers are and either adding them to the ooc page and making a dedicated page for them, just so people know what they need to tag and everyone stays safe.

OVERALL.

i think your theme could use some improvement, but your plot is really solid and seems like it would be fun to play out. i would really recommend getting everyone’s pronouns and triggers up as soon as possible, though. i won’t be adding you to my recs as of now, but i wish you the best of luck going forward!
