hi! i go by sun and this blog is dedicated to my devil may cry oc solana and nero :) (and just dmc in general of course!!!) i was honestly planning to keep this whole thing to myself for the rest of my life (yes i'm very ashamed), but my backlog of drawings over the last year has become huge and i can tell my friends are sick of me LMFAO so i hope whoever runs into this blog is at least somewhat amused........! feel free to dm me or send in an ask about whatever, whenever!! i'd absolutely love to find new people to ramble about dmc (and... well... nero & my oc...) with <3 thanks for stopping by!!! pls don't dog on me dmc fandom i'm ONE OF YOU... how did your goofy goobers end up together? who was the first one to approach the other?

i cackled so fucking hard when i got this ask because i have GREAT news. THEY ARE NOT IN A RELATIONSHIP!!!!!!! i have been WAITING to bring this up and i am absolutely ecstatic to finally get to talk about this!!!!!!!! part of this is because when i first created solana i was way too embarrassed to make anything romantic between her and nero canon LMFAO but i realized along the way that i much preferred an implied romance rather than one w/ any labels. so i guess you could call it like..... technically a situationship...... but like a good one??? because they have so much love for each other that they don't even realize it!! UGH!!!! so corny but. yeah that's pretty much what it is. and if you've read the manga veil by kotteri (beautiful manga btw highly recommend), i took heaaavvyyyy inspiration from emma & aleksander's relationship for solana & nero. a veil between friendship and romance. (for their dmc5 era specifically tho, their dmc4 era is a whooole other mess as you can tell lol) if their dmc4 era is defined by a whole bunch of friction, bickering, and projected insecurities, their dmc5 era is where they've finally learned how to regulate their stupid emotions and properly communicate and trust in each other. it's not just romantic, not just platonic, and not just familial — it's just them. and not sticking them into that box of just romance helped me be a lot more flexible with them and have soooo much more fun playing around with their interactions!! does not mean i don't draw them smooching every other hour tho. just that none of it is canon to their relationship LOL ..............but with all that said i'm still 50/50 on having them get married in the future. maybe. probably. it could happen....! (i already created a semi-canon daughter for them a year ago god kill me) ANDDDD to properly answer your question, i drew this mini comic back in december 2024 and this is probably how it would go :^)
