Funny crossover AU idea I had where Sparda and Eva had three sons, but the third son was whisked away due to his docile nature and a spell was cast by Sparda for the twins and Eva to forget the boy ever existed.

The boy grows up in an alternate realm called Barbieland.

The boy's name is Ken.

Just imagine the shenanigans that could occur if Nero finds out he has a literal ken doll as his long lost second uncle. Just imagine Ken and Dante being so fucking extra together. They would vibe so well. They would be the two annoying younger siblings to Vergil. Ken would never fight any demons, he would just offer moral support and good vibes to his brothers and nephew (and possibly a fresh, clean faux mink coat to wear while their clothes is getting cleaned of blood).

a siderant inspired by the pretty cool recent headcanon about different hearing ranges for the loser twins:

personally, I don't believe in any "special" ways of communication they can have, Except the very basic unconscious ones (like recognising each other's energy. certainly useful, but not enough for communication), Or new ones they can develop post-dmc5-hell-return, though I don't think they will.

My reasoning for this is that the sparda bois loser trio has been separated and alone most of their respective lives. They are not human, and they are not demon, the only ones able to really understand them is each other (hey another thing uncle dante denied nero with his silence). You can't learn communication when there is noone to communicate with. Vergil hasn't had pleasant company in forever with a single exception, he literally hasn't been socialised as a child, he might have knowledge of demon communication ways, but again, nobody to practice them with. Dante has consciously hermited himself away, and as for demonic habits - he can be in SDT and he would just close his eyes and keep chanting "i'm human i'm human i'm human". Nero is the only one who can actually communicate with other people, if his temper does not get in the way.

All of that was to say noone here has any communication experience, and definitely no "secret"-communication-type-available-only-to-them experience.

The twins do have incentive to develop some kind of secret language between themselves, though with how demon-averse Dante is that's hard to imagine. Still possible though! Nero will have trouble with this though, as he is not yet a regular in the company of the loser twins,but they might just drive him insane enough to try to learn and emulate them xD Then again, he doesn't really need it unless he is talking to those losers, and he Really needs them to learn to talk with Words Through Their Mouths, instead of making demon sounds at him...

Sorry if this came out as a wet blanket on someone's plans, that wasn't my intention. I just meant to highlight that Loneliness all of the bois experienced in their lives, which makes it so that any kind of communication they Do decide to develop now would be very special for them indeed.

This scene is always so funny to me. Nero put so much thought into this gift, but is afraid Kyrie won't like it, so naturally he decides to outright ignore her so he doesn't have to see her reaction because he's too nervous.

And then she sits down next to him and its too much (and he's already irritated by the fact that he's in a church) so he gets up in the middle of the moment of silence prayer to leave.
