It's my first day of work today and would you look at this view from the pantry where there's unlimited free food and drinks everyday?! I honestly couldn’t ask for more. This is the dream... working for a company that shares the same values as mine.. a company that’s for the people... I even found out today from my teammate that our company just invented the first ever cure for cancer... first cure ever to be approved by FDA a few months ago!!! How blessed am I to be part of this from now on!!!! My only worry before today was adapting to a new environment and a diverse workforce. We are a team of 13. There’s a Korean, an Indonesian, a Taiwanese, an Indian, Singaporeans, Australian in our team. But imagine my surprise and grateful heart when I was welcomed by a Filipina teammate who’s also Bisaya and also from my ex-employer Lexmark! Even the IT guy who gave me my laptop is also a Filipino. Everything just felt right and in place. I may be working overseas now but it still feels like home. Coming here was not an easy feat though. I consider this a huge milestone and I’m so blessed because a lot of people paved way to this success... friends who lent me money.., friends who gave me shelter here... friends who have been praying and rooting for me. 😭😭😭 I’ll may be share to you guys soon how I got here but for now... i just want you to believe that God is good all the time and all the time, God is good!

I was so inspired by kim chiu that I started running two weeks ago. 12runs after in 14days, I finally achieved my 5km goal. It took me 38mins haha but one goal at a time, okay? okay! 😭 #abantebisaya #runforbeer (at Novena MRT Station)

About to embark on a lonely journey and the universe reminded me today that the world is at my fingertips.... It's going to be lonely coz for the first time in my life, I will brave eating alone for months and probably forever. I'm teary-eyed just writing the words eating alone. kind of a blur but more stories soon... Meanwhile, here's to pounding pavements just to make many children's dreams come true! someday, sunny PS thank you PICPA for the ❤️ and the trophy

Whenever you feel jaded and blue and hopeless and broken... or even when you feel like just crying for reasons you can never explain or we can never understand... you can always rest in the knowledge that our God will never ever leave nor forsake you and that I give really great hugs.

The truth is... none of us are what we can see. We all deal with problems that many will never know. I might have seen you around, we might have exchanged smiles but I will never know if you are taking care of an ill mother at home... that you are tired of giving up most part of your hard-earned salary for your brother's tuition fee... that you lost a loved one or that you are going through a really hard break-up. That is why... let this be a reminder to always look past the surface... to be kind to one another. Who knows? your smile and a simple hello might save a life today.

And so I am here to debunk the myth that you are good enough, that you are beautiful just the way you are. You are NOT good enough. And you will never be... no matter how hard you try. It took me 25 years to realize just that. Silly me. Surprisingly, though, with my really fragile heart, I have learned to accept overtime that what I am is an invisible spec in this large scale of life. And once you are able to also accept... you will learn to live the way you really want to, to do things on your own... without compromise, without the want of validation from people whose opinions never really matter. I mean, we all know that already, right? We've heard that a million times. But have we stopped to actually listen for the first time? Don't you want to wake up in the morning feeling safe from the whispers and stares and pointed fingers of people? These people that we meet everyday, whose desires we want to gratify... they are just small potatoes like you out of the 7 billion potatoes in this planet. When you look at life that way, in this spectrum that I am on, it is simpler, free-er. You get to be who you are and you stop playing roles as what society dictates. You get to walk your own shoes, your own life. Your shoulders will be at rest and you will hear your heart beat for the first time in a long time. Life is already hard and fleeting to be spending time on worrying and doubting just because you are not good enough to them. Accept who you are and what you are. I didn't know where that day would take me until I saw you there eating alone in the park. I asked if I could sit and drink my morning cup of coffee with you,... you smiled and simply made my day. I reveled in the quietness of that moment... you, chewing gently with your probably just 5 remaining teeth and I, gazing into that sea of yellow morning flowers, sipping yet the best coffee of my life while realizing the irony of it all, the sluggish pace, this fleeting life... oh, how I wish to be seating next to you everyday grandpa, not hurrying time,... only sharing the burden of this brief living. It's crazy how even the smallest decisions we make everyday can change the path of our lives. If I wasn't woman enough to say no a few months back, I would've never met and known, perhaps, the only person who is as loud and as annoying as I am. I am torn between mixed feelings of sadness and anxiety. As much as I want to focus on just being happy for you, I don't know anymore what would I be without you seating beside me only one 'hoy' away in my station. You have pampered me the past five months that to be honest, I don't know how to function alone anymore. I have been selfish for taking all of your time, even pressuring you everyday to eat with me from breakfast to lunch to dinner, weekdays and weekends. This letter can even tell how selfish I am for making your leaving just about my sad feelings. haizzt. The past week was really hard for me. I fear for tomorrow Monday when by impulse I will turn to my left and I can not find you there. My heart will just have to hold fast because I know leaving your comfort zone is harder for you. I just genuinely hope you will find happiness in your 17D ride to IT Park every morning. I hope you get patient seatmates who'll understand how loud your laugh can be and really cool officemates and bosses that will understand your corny puns. I hope there's another Gelai in there that will speak your second language. I hope they'll let you wear your signature black outfits. and can I just say this is the happiest I've ever been since the beginning of the year? ❤️😂 becoz becoz not only am I taking my freedom back. in a few days, I will finally earn my vacation leave credits!!! How bad dya think am I going to cry on Wednesday dear friends??? coz everyone cries when they get regularized right? haha oh my gravy the tears will be infinite! 😂
