She’s light on her feet as she walks across the stage, smiling wide and bright for the whole audience to see. In their minds they all think the same thing; that her name matches her. For a young woman who they know nothing of, they can see her good nature and positivity. It’s infectious as it reaches their hearts, their own smiles spreading across their faces. Ranging from small to absolutely gigantic ones.

But their smiles, there are many who worry for her. Those completely aware of the world that she’s to enter and make a career out of. With someone so bright and lovely, how long before that light is to be snuffed out. When will that sunshine within her die out because of this world.

The world may never know.

During the summer of 2021, Sunny gets an internship in D.C. She’s very happy and proud of herself.

Spends time with Ruby half of the summer and the other half she makes her own friends.

Continues studying at Gallagher. With the new administration it’s strange but she gets over it quickly. It doesn’t bother her as much so she’s alright!

After she graduates, she’s going to take a break from espionage for two years. She moves back home where she stays with her parents and visits her grandparents. She gets a job as a tutor during those two years, helping high schoolers and local college students. It’s nice for the most part.

After this she gets a job in Kentucky for a private agency. She works in the technical side of things. Idk the technical word or anything but you know… the hacking stuff. Yeet.

Their older sisters? Aka Imani and Liv? Also get married. And that’s on me and Strud finding ways for these two ( Sunny and Ruby ) to be related OIAJGOIAGA

Life is going great. I’m sure that Sunny meets some cool person, probably marries them, and the two are getting ready to start a family. They have one child and they plan on having more. However, things are never good when your mun is Kashia Ellis- Taylor.

Sunny has always worked behind the scenes. It’s safer that way and her nerves have always kept her from going onto the field. But there’s one moment where she does go out, believing that she’ll be okay.

The mission is to apprehend a group of local criminals. For Sunny and her group, they were suspecting something mediocre and believing that they’ll be able to take them down. The group was very wrong as the group of criminals were stronger and more intelligent than what they believed.

Sunny tries her hardest to stop them, using her skills from over the years to do so. She would’ve been successful but unknown to her is a mole. Someone apart of her team is a double agent, a spy that sided with the criminals. It’s because of this man that Sunny and the rest of her team lose their lives. He’s the one to get them caught in a trap and killed. It’s because of him that Sunny dies since he’s the one who kills her with his bare hands. Sunshine Martin dies at the age of 41, leaving her partner and child without a wife and a mother.

The mission is marked a failure with only one survivor, the traitor. No one else knows of his true identity and the crime he committed. The only people who know are dead, unable to tell anyone else. He’s someone on the side of evil who escapes punishment and regret. How unfair is that.

But this is fate for a woman like Sunshine. She’s known for her trusting personality, never suspecting someone despite the career that chose for herself. Everyone is a friend. In a world like this, not everyone can be your friend. No matter how bright your light is, it’ll never be able to light the darkness within a person’s heart. And unfortunately for her, she learned that the hard way.

“Sun,” she grinned when she saw her, immediately reaching over to envelop her in a hug. Ruby forced herself not to even begin to tear up, focusing on how happy Sunny always made her, and the lighthearted mood of the party. “You look really pretty, but I think you know that,” she smiled, cheek squished up against the side of her face. “You’re having fun, right?”

“Please, have you seen you, you’re beautiful!” The hug was easily welcomed, Sunny’s arms wrapping around her best friend. No matter how much the world burned around them, the two were always safe when they were together. That was a simple fact. “I am, I pinkie promise! Are you having fun?”

“Nope, not at all!” Levi could definitely out drink her but she didn’t care. This was their last Gallagher party together, gotta unwind and have some fun! Following in his lead, Sunny downed her own shot. “Nervous about tomorrow?”

If it was anyone else, she would’ve told him no but this was Levi. Of course she has to accept it. “Okay,” she said, with a smile on her face. “I’ll do shots with you, however many you want me to do.”

“Whoa, you really are prepared for this!” The most Sunny had were flashcards and that was it. Eyes went wide at Eden’s organization skills. “Eden! You're like really, really prepared! Now I feel bad because I just have these,” she said as she showed the girl her flashcards. “I was just gonna study my butt off but now I’m not sure if that’ll be enough.”

maia laughed, nodding her head. “rafa has told me how much of a badass i am multiple times since we’ve been back. i think he’s more proud of me than anything else,” she told her, shrugging her shoulders. “yeah!” she exclaimed. “it also proved to me that i definitely need to be behind the scenes. i was anxious the entire time,” she confessed.

“I’m also proud of you because that’s just! So cool! It was a true spy moment for you.” If she was being honest, Sunny was mainly worried about Maia and how she would do on the mission. She believed in her friend’s abilities and skill sets but that wouldn’t stop her from worrying. “See, I think Gallagher should send us on more missions so people can really see what works for them.”

Tilting his head to the side, he didn’t move or anything, letting Star make the first move when she was ready. His gaze moved back to Sunny, frowning a little. He was silent for a little bit before he said. “It was”

She almost denied it for a second time but stopped herself. This wasn’t the time to have such a small and useless debate, not when there was a more important topic to talk about. “Clem, I’m sorry,” Sunny apologized as if she was at fault. “Do you want to talk about how you’re feeling?”

“Yeah because of the stables.” There weren’t any classes on horse riding which was strange. Why have horses if you weren’t going to teach your students how to ride them? “I hope not either. If I knew how to ride them, I would be out here on a constant basis.”

“Hey.” A tiny smile forms at the sight of Sunny. “Yeah, I’m cool. You doing okay?” It’ll take Mira some time to actually put everything behind her, but knowing she’s not coming back next semester brings so much relief, being away from this environment.

“I’m doing better.” A lot better. The anger she felt back in April had died and the sadness that she felt had subsided. But there was still a hollow feeling within her that wouldn’t sit right with her. “I think I’ll feel a lot better when the school year ends.”
