Stats guide:
Average, or mean, averages the values in a given data set and then divides it by the sample size.
Z-score shows how many standard deviations a value is from the mean.
A quartile is 25% of the data, numbered as Q1, Q2, and Q3. Q1 splits the lowest 25% of the data from the highest 75%, Q2 (or the median), splits the data in half, and Q3 splits the highest 25% of the data from the lowest 75%. The IQR, or Inter-Quartile range, is the range of values between Q1 and Q3. Outliers are values that fall outside the lower or upper fences, calculated as Q1 - (1.5 * IQR) or Q3 + (1.5 * IQR) respectively.
A skew indicates a data set's asymmetry. Right skews are positive and happens when the right (higher) tail end of the data set is longer, and left skews are negative and happen when the left (lower) tail end of the data set is longer.
These statistics only include whole chapters. Any in-progress chapters will not be included in the data set.
