#100%#... that feels like a nothing statement for me. if you know them you know them process of elimination yada yada #but. a lot of the fake ones have like...a lack of the chunkiness the new pokemon have? i think?#something about newer pokemon having a different design ethos as they're 3d now. less zigzaggy details and more defining patterns & shapes #that and like color palettes. idk some of them just feel like a gen 3 palette on a gen 8 mon #that and too much detail/patterns at times for what gen you'd put it at.#missmatching generational design ethos w/ regard to color shape and anatomy

artfight attack on @pastelaeqy's Aria done in my page card style! had an absolute blast with this character, she has a stunning design!

had to crunch these gifs like crazy for upload anywhere, but there's an mp4 under the cut! besides the time-heavy nature of creating it, one of the worst downsides of this style is that it's so hard to share the finished pieces anywhere because of the file size 😂💖

#AH!!! OH MY GOODNESS IT'S HERE!!!#once again i wanna gush about this so bad...this is like. st at its peak #it has the emphasis on light and the warm & bright sunset tones i love so so much!#the posing is so cute i love keedia riding her as they fly through the nutty noon skies...literally them!#the attention to detail with the outlines are not lost on me! the darker outlines thinning and then fading entirely w/ the light beneath-#the rendering is so soft and full! i love how it's shaded-#-with care for shiny parts and materials! i also wanna point out the shine on striga's face underneath the mask I LOVE IT!!!#ah and keedia's little nose bump...i <3 her little nose bump. and her swirly cheeks they're so cute!#the background cloudy pattern....it's so interesting. the way the light overlaps makes it feel like it has SOME real clouds but then doesn'#it's very interesting to look at especially in the bottom right! it fades out on top but it's so fun and whimsical!#so very YOU too! i love it so so much!#ah...and their expressions! keedia's simply so happy to spend time together and be so close to someone she looks up to so much...#and striga finds it a bit strange but quite enjoys caring for her...it's perfect!#thank you so so much for the attack! a wonderful artwork that shows how much you love them and their story (however short it is so far!)#it's a deep honor. thank you from the bottom of my heart <3
