what are some really cool words that you think should be used more often in day-to-day conversations?? i wanna learn more words

Oooh! Let me see... I have so many words that I like, but day-to-day usage will depend on what you talk about day-to-day, of course!

I like "squamous", which relates to things that have scales. So, reptiles are squamous lifeforms.

There's "refulgent", which means shining very brightly! Usually of something other than the sun, as it's considered basic knowledge that the sun shines brightly! It's generally used more in the sense of "resplendent".

I like the word "occult", but most people don't know its actual meaning. It comes from occlude, as in: a solar eclipse occludes (covers or hides) the sun. Therefore, the occult is something hidden or obscured. That's why we can talk about "occult blood" in medical tests; testing for occult blood just means testing for blood that is present in microscopic amounts, and so hidden unless a specific test is run.

"Magnanimous", which comes from Latin magnus "great" and animus "soul"; literally, big-souled. It means someone who shows great generosity and forgiveness, especially towards their enemies; "she was magnanimous in victory".

"Egregious" is one I find myself using often. It means "outstandingly bad; a particularly noticeable example of badness".

Yuriiii! I have a question, if you wouldn't mind? (as always, ignore this if you aren't up to it!!)

do you get any phantom feelings that you did or didn't have in source or your memories?? or maybe urges??

It would be "we" have a question, but... yes, the question still stands. I sometimes feel as if I'm lacking fangs while in front, but continously doubt the feeling as my own and instead Natsuki's, despite her not being near front at all. Is this... a regular thing among fictives?

Both things are quite common among fictives, yes. I myself don't experience strong phantoms on a day-to-day basis— which is a blessing, because my lower body is currently that of a porcelain spider, and when I first came in possession of it I had to adjust to walking again in both realities! Thankfully it was brief and didn't cause any long-term difficulties.

(I'm curious about the fangs, if I may ask! Have you always had those?)

As for urges... oh, certainly. I don't consider it strange that I have many of the same urges now that I did in the past; my desires are such an integral and complex part of who I am.

But also, headspace is a malleable sort of thing, and being in a system and building trusting, close relationships with other fictives have given me safe (or at least risk-aware) ways to express and fulfil those desires. So they're a source of joy, rather than something I struggle with.

and then there's... yknow, my neck... um... yeah, don't like that one too much, but sometimes it gets really itchy?? when im at front?? but its not super prominent or anything so its only when im super stressed or panicking 🙂‍↕️

DDLC disgruntlement of the day:

We do always appreciate when people portray characters as Black who weren't originally Black. But why is it always the tall, violent, and/or psychologically "dark" ones who get rendered as physically darker?

I just think that if you're only going to make one character in DDLC Black (as opposed to the whole cast, which you could do!), and you decide that character is Yuri... you probably should ask yourself why. Especially when Sayori would look so good in afro puffs...
