Okay so

1) Danny having to tell Steve his dad was dead/Steve's reaction was genuinely the worst thing ive ever seen and im sobbing

2) AU!Danny definitely ended up cheating on AU!Rachel with Steve because what the fuck do you mean Danny had known him for a day, asked him to switch careers and Steve was like 😇 maybe one day 😛

3) That Ohana montage was both the sweetest and GAyEsT shit i have ever watched. Why was Danny in it 193930 times, why did we see every single hug theyve ever had while Catherine got .1 second and Kono and Chin mainly got shots with eachother

They saved each other many times since they met and I don’t think they keep track of who’s the best…

Making the GIFs I noticed particularly Danny in the fifth one… I must say Scott is really great showing Danny’s emotions, you can see the relief still mixed with the scare he got finding Steve just a second before he was going to be killed.

Having Joe ask Danny to ask Steve to stop looking for Doris is both utterly disgusting (more people trying to manipulate Steve for their own ends) and utterly hilarious (from an outsiders perspective Steve does whatever Danny says)

And we have definitely seen Steve and Danny completely change their initial course of action when the other asks (I’m thinking of the “I’m gonna go home and rest” scene from I think season 7 and then just a few episodes ago Danny told Steve it was insane to negotiate with terrorists to get Cath back and Steve said “but Danny this is reminding me of the time the terrorists killed my dad 🥺” AND THEN DANNY ROLLED WITH IT IMMEDIATELY ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ACTIVITY AND ALL) but having an outsider who is hardly ever in Hawaii to actually witness this behavior say “oh I’ll ask Danny to ask Steve the notoriously stubborn to change his mind that will totally work” is actually insane. We’re supposed to believe these two aren’t together? We’re supposed to believe they aren’t madly in love?

And I love that Danny said “um ☝️ no”

This is why Steve trusts him more than anyone else. Danny puts Steve’s best interest first every time. Danny also does not want Steve hung up on the Doris thing but what he isn’t gonna do is let someone else try and control Steve through him.

But Danny is front and center throughout

Like its Danny he talks to on the phone after his father doesnt die. Its Danny who takes him around the station and to his dad. Its Danny in the hospital with Hesse, and in the car, and in the prison and taking down Wo Fat. Its Danny who offers him the job in Hawaii
