The story takes place at Joe's cabin, Montana. According to my research, the cabin shown in 9x10 is much more likely to be located in Hawai'i than anywhere else. Apparently, the roof would need to be a lot steeper to clear snow if it were in a state with a lot of snowfall. So we will pretend the roof is steeper but the layout is the same:
The first floor plan is the original cabin, drawn to the best of my ability from endlessly rewatching 9x10 and 9x11. The majority of the assault in 9x10 comes from the east side of the cabin with the RPG blowing up the south window of the living room. The second floor plan is after Steve's renovations in the story.
Thimble, Montana, is entirely fictional but based entirely on Victor, Montana. The location I chose for Steve's cabin (completely randomly and fictionally) is this:
It faces the Biterroot Valley and is at approximately 6000ft altitude, which makes the weather in the story plausible.

H50 s4e19. Steve and Danny should have kissed. Not even out of romance but adrenaline. Like Danny stuck under the rubble, reciting football games , freaking out. Steve lifting the concrete, calming him down, holding his hand touching the side of his face resting his forehead against Danny's and just brushing their lips together. Breath regulating, nerves simmering. And then he gets the idea to blow them out and Danny is all I hate you so much and Steve is grinning, I love you too... boom.
Steve being sad he looks old enough to have a young adult daughter when he clearly is only old enough to have a 10 year old stepdaughter with his partner thank you very much.

that time Danny walked in on Steve about to administer himself a tetanus shot after a dive into dirty canal water
because you can always count on Steve to find an excuse to take his clothes off at work
and Danny freaked out disproportionately because he was NOT prepared for Steve to just drop his pants in front of him out of blue, at least give him the decency of two to three business days of warning (sexual frustration always makes him extra aggressive)
Steve, who was still pouting over Danny not joining him for a swim in that canal, suggested Danny look away or cover his eyes
unsurprisingly despite his loud (for show) complains Danny does NOT look away during the money shot
not only that but the entire time after as Steve proceeded to fasten his pants back up
Danny's eyes kept straying and wandering 👀 (which made it all the most obvious that his earlier protests were to save face/for show)
he was fighting for his life trying to focus on the conversation about the suspect
all in all, extremely heterosexual™ happenings at the office feat. Steve and Danny, as usual
It’s interesting in 10.04 when Danny is all up in Steve’s business trying to get him a date with a woman in conversation Steve specifically says him and another person. Not woman. Person.
Danny clearly is too laser focused on heterosexuality to notice (he wants Steve to be happy and wrongly thinks dating a woman will make Steve happy. Danny wants a relationship with Steve desperately but is channeling it in all the wrong ways).
You’re telling me Danny Williams was sitting in Steve McGarrett’s house, in the middle of the night, reviewing everything they knew about Shelburne, trying to figure out where Steve went. And doing this made him SO UPSET that he called Chin Ho Kelly to look at the evidence with him because he didn’t want to be alone.
And Steve had been gone for a week. That’s seven days. Seven days without talking to Steve and he needs people talking him off a ledge because he’s so worried about it.
