went through my following list here on tumblr and it surprised me how i can still remember a few usernames and profile photos. 

what surprised me more was the little indicator which states the last time the account updated. most of the people in my following list have updated 7 years ago, 5 years ago, or longer... 

i kind of feel sad because in a way, these people, this website, have honed me into what i am now. 12 years ago, i would even go out of my accounting class just so i could check my tumblr dashboard and see what everyone’s been up to. 

during that time, i felt i had a safe space. i was in a constant state of not wanting to be where i was then, but when i had access to tumblr, i felt connected. 

there’s no point to this blurb, really, it just made me think about how important time is. 

in a blink of an eye, we were no longer obsessed about mustaches...
