He couldnât truly understand and somehow it irked Pip. Never had he dealt with a situation similar as Taeminâs for Pip had never truly fallen in love with anyone before. At least he could try and sympathise though, wasnât that the thing Pip often did? Often times the boy had been proud of the fact that he was able to help people deal with their problems despite the lack of his own. So far he certainly hadnât met anyone who had dealt with the same embarrassing situation as he did, but really, it wasnât a big deal compared to stories such as Taeminâs.
Slender fingers fiddled with the cutlery as Pip couldnât find himself yet taking a bite of his food, not while the other was talking; this was important. He couldnât have him thinking that he didnât care, to make him feel even worse. Pip wouldnât forgive himself if he would manage to hurt Taemin like his exes had. No one deserved such a faith and Pip could feel his heart clenching at the mere thought, staying quiet to give the other some time to collect their thoughts, occasional nods and encouraging smiles given in between Taeminâs story.
But when the other mentioned a tattoo placed on his ass, Pip couldnât help but give the other an incredulous look, not having expected such a thing. If anything, the small detail seemed out of place but Pip figured that it was more important than it might seem at first sight, there had to be a reason why it was important for Tae to tell him, wasnât there?Â
Though when tears fell from dark hues, Pip felt himself wanting to reach out, to hold his hand, to embrace the other in a manner of comfort but he stopped himself halfway, realising that Taemin wouldnât allow it. Not now, not when things were obviously still hard for him to deal with. Instead, Pip could only use his words; something he found difficult quite often. Sure, he could write them down, make songs from them but that was different than actually speaking to someone. âYou donât deserve that. No one does,â a frown was obvious on the maleâs face, his lips twitching briefly at the otherâs discomfort.Â
âYou're trying to get better and I think thatâs most important right now,â Pip tried to reason, not sure at all how he wouldâve dealt with such negativity in his life but at least trying to show the other some support. âI canât change what they did or didnât do, just like I canât promise I will always be here either. Life is full of those kind of twists and turns but Iâm sure if I do leave, I will let you know. Whether or not this thing become something more or not I donât know either, but I at least want you to know that I think itâs brave of you to deal with this thing. Youâre trying to get better and thatâs all that matter. You have to make yourself happy, that is most important. Otherâs can make you feel happy, sure, but what use is that when you will have to spend time alone as well?â His teeth worried in his bottom lip for a moment, trying to see how the other would react and hoping that he didnât sound stupid despite the fact that he wasnât too sure about what he was saying, though some of the advice Julia had told him obviously had stuck and he hoped that it would help Taemin as well.
