the post i just rbed was def a Bit harsh in regards to shauna (not that i don’t necessarily agree w/ it LMAO) but i do think it lacks a bit of nuance (mainly to save my ass)
like.. i can’t remember if i mentioned any of this before but. based on what we see.. what shauna says abt jackie just. isn’t true? like. i don’t know if it’s a poor writing thing / they’re intending to show more in later seasons (why would they do that though?) / they MEANT to show that shauna’s word don’t actually match jackie’s actions or????
and of course, obligatory “jackie has her moments too” blah blah blah, whatever, but overall what jackie does (esp w/ shauna) does not fit shaunas narrative. like at all. or maybe i’m just dumb. the only time we actually see jackie be condescending towards her is “ghost” jackie. aka shaunas warped perception of her. and don’t get me wrong, jackie has a warped perception of shauna as well. but they’re both like.. on opposite ends of the spectrum
anyway. i just overall hate how ppl perceive and portray jackie in this fandom. it IS interesting how multiple people can come out thinking different things based on several objective scenes but. hate to be an ass but unfortunately there’s only one right thing in this case sorry
and like.. referencing that post, jackie DOES seriously give yet receive so little huh? like. i think that sort of comes w/ jackie’s position as team captain. but this girl is seriously just so full of love and shit and 😭😭😭 IDK!!!!!! like. biggest example i can think of is the “let’s go around and say something nice abt each other :)” moment. NO ONE SAID ANYTHING NICE ABT HER!!!!!!! THROWS UP
anyway. long story short. i think shaunas sort of misinterpreting jackie’s actions and overreacting. do NOT get wrong i’ve been in shaunas shoes before w/ a friend blah blah. but man. idk. i don’t think what shauna is saying can be seen at face value. jackie taylor (typed out gaylor first rip) you will always be famous
