even here, the days bled into one another. the cold, the lack of color amidst the Great White were features made anew in his eyes, yet beneath it all remained an unwavering sense to simply let it be. Karna did not draw attention to himself, nor did he actively seek out that which would do so; rather coming to terms with his new status, and then pursuing a path to help those around him.
there was still much of Eidolon to discover. day after day, scout after scout, it at times felt as if the only proof of stones turned throughout his travels were the assortment of marks filling out the village map—along with his own, decorated in pressed petals. so long as it proved useful, he felt content.
a voice draws him out from thought, the chatter of crowds about mere background noise when it came to his focus, however now he could recognize that this one spoke directly to him.
‶ of course, ″ he replies easily, a tilt of his head accompanying his words, and the following extension of the map in his gloved hand out towards the hooded face. ‶ are you traveling somewhere specific? ″
Tamaki, timid as he was with all his being, jumped at the slightest movement. He settled down when he only saw a map, which thankfully distracted him from any piercing eyes darting his way. He wasn’t meaning to look strange, but he was a pretty tense person around others.
“ I’m making my way back… ” back where? Where did he want to go? He had to be more specific than that, but the map was so detailed that it was distracting. His eyes wandered on the other’s work, surprised that they took so much thought into it. Was making maps really this exciting?
“ Back to… wait, I wanted food… ” he glanced up at the taller boy, but quickly looked back down, his hood slightly sliding. “ Maybe somewhere I could find calamari… ” he was starving and hasn’t really ate much since he got here. “ Do you know if I could get some anywhere? ” while he was still nervous, he made his voice clear to who he was speaking to. This man was willing to help. He could trust him, even if just for a moment.
