Cabin fever is REAL and it is HERE so here’s a list of Disney & Pixar animated things I wanted to eat as a child and still kind of do
1. The Gray Stuff from Beauty and the Beast
Literally who didn’t want to try this stuff. I used to pause the VHS tape and smush my little gremlin face against the screen just to stare at this tray
2. The grubs from The Lion King
Part of me knows they’re bugs. Part of me wants to put them in my face anyway.
3. The cake from Lilo and Stitch
Disney’s full of awesome cakes but this one in particular–even though it’s not the fanciest or biggest or most elegant–always incited a cake craving.
4. Whatever it was that Jenny made for Oliver in Oliver and Company
I know it’s supposed to be cat food but?? It always looked like she’s putting chocolate chips and cream and cereal and all kinds of good stuff in here so 10/10 would still try it
5. Alice in Wonderland’s “Eat Me” Cookies
I know. I know. I KNOW. We get it, Pinterest! These things have been made 1001 times but I don’t want those. I specifically want to eat these exact cookies and nothing else will satiate me
6. Baloo’s fruit in The Jungle Book
Could I go to the supermarket or Hispanic market and get most of these items? Yes. Does that stop me from wanting to try the ones Baloo has and convincing myself they’re any different? No.
7. The seeds and stuff from Bug’s Life
Listen. There might be three and a half whole pixels in that image but I know you know exactly what I’m talking about. The fact I don’t like trail mix or seeds at all can’t stand in my way of wanting to eat this by the handful. Also the water droplets/dew from this movie were equally delectable but I can’t find a picture of those so.
8. Pizza from A Goofy Movie
This pizza looks GOOD and the closest I’ve ever managed to get was the one time I made a pizza from scratch and put two entire blocks of mozzarella on it and not even lactose intolerance could stop me and my roommates never let me make pizza again
9. Various Disney gems and jewels
I, a mere goblin, have always wanted to eat the gems, jewels, and treasures from various Disney movies. “Oh, you should try rock candy! It looks just like–” No. Please teleport me directly into Snow White and the Seven Dwarves so I can mine and dine. Thank you.
BONUS: “Purple Flurp” from Jimmy Neutron.
I know this is either grape soda or battery acid (neither of which I’m too fond of) but I’d still try it anyway. I used to drink purples “Hugs” drinks (does anyone else remember those? they came in a little plastic barrel? Am I making these up?) and tell myself it was purple flurp and placebo effect myself into karateing things like Cindy Vortex.
