my knight keeps saying fuck it we ball before charging into battles and it's reallynot inspiring confidence in my heart
it's always "did you really need to burn down your workplace to prove a point" and never "how was the revenge arson? did you have fun doing revenge arson? were the flames pretty?"
🔥🔥🔥
Context for other users:
On the morning of April 7, 2026, a fire was started at the Kimberly-Clark Distribution Center in Ontario, California. It escalated to a six-alarm fire and took nearly twelve hours to extinguish. The facility was completely destroyed and declared a "total loss". There were no injuries or deaths. An employee who was working in the warehouse is accused of arson.
Authorities stated that the employee had shared videos of himself starting the fire on Facebook, saying "all you had to do was pay us enough to live" and "there goes your inventory" while lighting pallets of toilet paper ablaze.
ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS PAY US ENOUGH TO LIVE
No injuries. No deaths. This was a protest fire. This is why unions are important, to prevent frustrations like these, to ensure people are paid enough to live.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dumb question, but (taking the motive at face value) how would a union specifically have prevented this as opposed to warehouse just paying workers more?
"Anything destructive is good if you sound like a communist."
Do you think the heroic impoverished proletariat is doing better or worse now that their workplace has burned down and they can no longer perform labor in exchange for wages? Was this an effective action to empower the heroic impoverished proletariat, or was it destructive and helped nobody except as it provided masturbation material to communists?
Do you actually and literally know what they were actually paid in the actual real life world or are you just assuming that because the concept of money makes you upset, any violence and destruction was justified?
No injuries. No deaths.
THROUGH NO FAULT OF HIS!
He never told any of the other workers to leave and they were in fact looking for him before they had to evacuate. It is sheer luck that nobody was killed because the arsonist couldn't have cared less if everyone else there had died.
This was a protest fire.
Protest fire. Arson. Sure looks the same to me.
This is why unions are important, to prevent frustrations like these, to ensure people are paid enough to live.
I don't think "Unionize or there will be arson" is the great reasoning you think it is.
Regarding the warehouse arson, he wasn’t working for Kimberly-Clark, whose inventory he destroyed, he was working for a contracted inventory management company. So his “protest” didn’t actually make a point, his employers didn’t actually lose anything except maybe a contract for that one warehouse which can be offset by firing his co-workers. Kimberly-Clark likely had insurance, but will suffer some loss due to higher premiums, but they didn’t control his pay.
I think not enough people feel that it is an urgent problem that we have an entire generation of people who have no idea how to cook. If you can’t feed yourself that’s a problem. If you will literally starve if you have no one to rely on to cook for you, you have a serious issue. No wonder you’re all broke, you’re eating out every day! I buy those $70 Costco packs of eight steaks and yes it hurts my pocket initially until you realize it means I have a steak dinner for $8.75 every single night of the week plus one. Compared to the $25 I’d be paying for the exact same meal, but at a restaurant. You save so much money by making your food yourself and if that isn’t enough to sell you you also know for the most part what’s going into it. Nobody knows about nutrition anymore. Do any of you idiots actually know what an electrolyte is? What potassium is and what it’s good for? The difference between good sugar and bad sugar? The reason everybody’s fat is because everywhere you can buy ready made food it’s pumped full of stuff you don’t know anything about. If you learn to cook you have to learn about what’s going into your meal. Hit the fucking gym eat healthier etc etc
I can barely eat at all due to stubborn lifelong stomach problems but I still cook regularly because I know that it's important to make sure that I eat as healthy as possible when I can eat because I don't want to wind up even sicker than I am now when I'm older. Healthy habits are always worth the effort, even if you can't do them 100%, you only get one body and it's in your best interests that you try to keep it functioning as well as possible for as long as possible.
I'm torn between whether Tohsaka rin could have done 9/11 with magic (Gem magic can melt steel beams) or if she couldn't have done 9/11 because that would involve interacting with technology more recent than a typewriter. I'm leaning towards the second option
gilgamesh could have done it with his stupid fucking UFO thing he has in fate zero.
archer could have done it without a doubt
emiya shirou would try and stop 9/11
kiritsugu would do 9/11 just to kill one guy even just by butterfly effect
sakura would do 9/11 if it helped her deal with her sister complex
shinji would get stopped at the airport and detained
Shirou: "my dad is a superhero :)"

the "i support women's wrongs" crowd has been real quiet after jax tadc .
A lot of them specifically support cis women’s wrongs.
The "I support women's wrongs" crowd usually likes their female violence to be over-the-top vigilante power fantasy stuff enacted against targets that the audience hates or finds insufferable. They want "wrongs" that are technically wrong but secretly based.
Jax's wrongs are predominantly run of the mill bullying and emotional/physical abuse directed at vulnerable, insecure individuals. It's not a satisfying power fantasy, because Gangle and Ribbit are not targets that the audience wants to see get hurt. I suspect that if Jax were a cis woman who did the exact same things, people would still be reluctant to voice support for her actions.
Like, Jax has plenty of fans. She's still one of the most popular characters on the show and still has boatloads of apologists. But her fans aren't the "women's wrongs" crowd because Jax's wrongs aren't cool. Her fans mostly just want to draw her in cute outfits and talk about how traumatized she is.
When was Jax a woman? Not even the real person Jax was copied from transitioned, IIRC. Is it somewhere completely outside the text, because that doesn't count, and the people you talk about probably don't see Jax as a woman at all.
It apparently was a thing at the very end of the series, and they do see Jax as a woman specifically because they want to scream about how this means Gooseworx is transphobic because trans woman do not good thiings.
I miss when ads were a single click and then they’re gone. Now every ad has a minimum of three phases where you watch a video, exit the still frame of fake gameplay, and then exit the app download. That doesn’t even touch on the ones that forcibly take you to another app after opening a tab in safari without you ever touching the screen.
I hate advertising. I hate that you can’t do anything without companies jumping down your throat with mostly bullshit ads. I hate that billboards exist. I hate that every company unanimously decided to make their ads longer and longer. I hate that ad blockers try to charge you money and there are in app purchases to remove ads. I hate that my attention has become commodified. I hate that there’s nothing I can do about it.

The 'Problematic Fiction' crowd will punch every direction they can because all they want to do is punch. They don't want to witch hunt marginalized folks as some kind of special target, it's just marginalized folks are the most vulnerable to their horseshit.
