Doom is a pretty simple game. You shoot baddies, you explore the level, you shoot baddies, you find keys to open locked doors, you shoot baddies, and you move on to the next level. But WHY are you doing this? What lead to these circumstances? And who exactly is Doomguy?

Well, I’ll tell you. This is the story of the Doomed Space Marine.

From what I’ve seen it’s like the “Yakuza AU” of Metal Gear. Under all the fucking around, overly dramatical scenes and (not-so)-subtle tones of homoerotism it manages to be both serious and heart-twisting.

(I would gladly play it.)
