“A couch.” Lottie nodding, her deep colored eyes lifting to meet his. “I moved in with Matt a few months ago. I don’t know if you know him. But, he’s just got a one bedroom place and since he basically let me move in like at a spur of the moment type of thing. And he has a boy thing, person.. I told him I didn’t mind sleeping on the couch.”

“No, I don’t know him, but why stay if you’re uncomfortable?”

She followed him in through the hallway and smiled when she saw his bed. “Looks comfy.” Lottie mused watching as he climbed in and threw back the covers for her. The small brunette peeled off her jeans, leaving her in her pj shorts and climbed in next to him. She rolled to her side to face him and hummed as she pushed a hand under her cheek. “S’comfy. I sleep on a fucking couch. I loved it at first. But now I’’m getting sore.” And cue the small pout.

“A couch? Why?” his eyebrows furrowed worriedly. Caleb stayed his distance from her, but still kept close enough to feel heat radiating off of her olive skin. He bit his lower lip and looked at her, adjusting his head on the pillow slightly.

With his directions, she’s turning to glance down the hallways. She gave him a smile and leaned back against the couch, her hands crossing in front of him. “No thanks. Can we go lay down?” Honestly she just wants to curl up.

“Oh...yeah. Of course,” he turned off the light in the living room and shuffled a hand through his very short hair, forgetting that he had shaved it off. Caleb walked into his room and got into his bed, pushing back the covers for her.

“Hi.” She greeted, lips kinking up at the corners as she tilted her head back to meet his eyes. Lottie moved around him, eyes shifting around his apartment curiously. With a small hmph she pulled the hoodie from her frame and draped it over the back of his couch before turning to face him. “Where’s your bedroom?”

“Down the hallway and to the left,” he gestured in the direction, watching her carefully as she looked at his apartment. The noise she made in response to his place made him a bit self-conscious - wondering what was wrong with it to make her make that noise. Caleb tried to shake it from his thoughts as he called out, “Do you want anything to drink?”

She’d only taken the time to pull on a pair of jeans over her pajama shorts and a hoodie that she was pretty sure was Matt’s over her tank top before grabbing her keys and heading out. She was getting tired of being home alone so when she got Caleb’s invitation, she accepted instantly. “Knock. Knock.” She calls through the door, patting her small hands against the wood.

Caleb crawled out of his bed, clumsily stumbling over a few clothes on the floor. He picked them up and tossed them into the laundry basket before heading towards the door. “Hey,” he greeted as soon as he had opened it. “Come on in.”
